Perfect
Short to read. Simple sentence structure. Is a challenge for my almost 5 year old who is on phonics phase 3 at the moment so that is good. He doesn't like the comics for phonics books from school as much as he does his super heroes so I use these alongside them. He can read the high frequency words and the CVC words as well as a few others but I do like the fact there's a challenge there in longer three syllable words and for some two syllable words he hasn't come across yet.The series isn't about an adventure that the characters takes part in though, it is an introduction to that character. In our house that is fine because we then go on to discuss what we know they can do etc but it might make a difference for some.

Brilliant books for little learners and superhero fans alike
Another brilliant world of reading book.We already have 14 pre1 and 14 level 1 books. We just can not get enough. My son finally wants to learn to read himself. He loves books and story time but never had the confidence and willingness to do himself... Till these books. Now he wakes and gets them, and gets them to read before he sleeps... And all the moments between. We have even borrowed them to his class at nursery in preparation for big school, and they loved them too.Simple for little learners with a sentence or 2 per page and plenty of repartition. My sons is learning quickly now.I would definitely recommend these books.

Starting to read
My 4 yr old has the other super hero squad books which are read to him every day. He is now writing his name and recognising words. So i thought these books would help encourage him to try to read a proper boy book, something he loves to have read to him and then repeat. Simple books, but for a boy starting out on the fantastic journey of reading this is a must.

Bought for four year old son
Bought for my four year old, pre school son who is very keen on Avengers and also very keen to read. There are a few words to each page which nicely describe the character in the picture. Words are repeated which give him confidence in his reading. He loves the book and is very keen to get to the end. Very pleased.

Brilliant for preschoolers
My 3-year-old son adores this book. We have this and the pre-level 1 avengers book and they're some of his most requested re-reads.

The book is really appealing to any superheroes fan due to the pictures but it is not the simplest level of reading. I was actually wanting it for my son who is just learning to read (age 4) and can only read very simple words (cat, stop, shop, etc). This book is far too hard - it has several irregular words and long words (Hulk, Captain America, etc). Hence, I wouldn't call it 'Level 1'. Maybe it's suitable for someone age 5 or 6 who can already read a bit.

Rather expensive for what it is
This is a thin very short story, obviously to help young children learning to read but think it is rather expensive for what it is. Obviously cashing in on the Super hero theme.
