Volcom Men's Frickin Modern Chino Pant

After having purchased the Frickin Modern pants for my son for leisure time and finding out just how outstandingly stylish and comfortable they are, I decided that this year for school he is getting all Volcom shorts and pants in khaki and navy for the school uniform. What can I say? I love it! The Frickin Chino doesn't have the small amount of spandex that Frickin Modern has, but then again, a school uniform doesn't really need it. He is of average height for his age and slim without being too thin. He plays a lot of sports, so he just has the build of an average sized kid that is active in sports. If in doubt about size, order one size up for a huskier child. Not well-suited for truly husky kids unless you go really larger and then having them shortened, which may still be a good idea because they are so comfortable and well-made. They hold up in the wash excellent. I wash each one about twice a week, and so far the size, fit, and color is still excellent, even with the navy one.

The charcoal color pants matched the picture. The pants look great and move well. These would fit nicely in an office or evening setting. I wear them instead of jeans in my daily life. I am a 40yr old 6'1", 175 lb man. I have no interest in the baggy look or the teenage slim fit pants.The thighs have enough room to move but they do not have a baggy look. I wear the pants below the waist and the pant leg comes to the bottom of my barefoot. Sitting or crossed legged they rise to ankle height. I personally would prefer another 1/2" on the length but that is just a preference and not a deal breaker. I will order more in different colors.

For the guys with big hips & thighs: these pants fit very well! Keep in mind that obviously if you have super super huge thighs and hips from lifting, that it's not going to fit perfect... so for me the waist is a tad bit loose (which is honestly expected) but wow these are awesome! There is definitely extra room in the thighs and seat. The pants look very dressy, they're somewhat stretchy, and they're comfortable. They are chinos so expect chino thickness. The charcoal ones are very awesome, I plan to go out in them tomorrow. I'm buying a pair of black pants immediately!

Bought these for my 14 y.o. twin sons (6'2" 200lb.) size 36 and they were quite roomy. Could have sized down to a 34. However, in all other pants including the Volcom Men's Frickin Modern Stretch Chino Pant size 36 is perfect. They prefer the look and feel of the modern stretch pant, but insisted on keeping these also. I as their mother like the look of this pant just as much as the mod stretch.

PROS* Modern but comfortable fit - seemed similar to a Dockers Straight "D2" fit* Sizing is true - I'm 5'9" and 180 lbs - the 33 fit me well* Wrinkle resistant - seemed to shed wrinkles better than other cotton/poly blendsCONS* Fabric not soft - The downside to the cotton/poly blend, kind of felt like wearing cardboard to me (admittedly I'm particular)* Only 1 inseam length available - I'm not keeping these because of the fabric, but if I was going to keep them I would need to get them shortened

I purchased a gray pair of the same pants and loved them; they fit my 30/31 waist just right. Bought the same size in black and the material feels cheaper and they're way baggier in the legs, and the waist is larger. You may need to try two sizes to get the right fit.

Would be 5 stars, if they were true to size, awesome comfy pants. I'm buying anther pair. Just keep mind, I'm a true 31, sometimes get by wearing 32s, these fit me like a 32 would in the waist, but I ordered a size 30! So order down a size!! Great pant tho!!

Although I do love these pants very much I do feel like the area running from the crotch to the waist is a bit long. So I need to pull up my pants a bit more than usual in order to feel completely comfortable. Other than that, I like em.

Buena opción para variar los jeans, me quedo bien, uso talla 30 x 30 y las medidas son standar, deseable que su fabricación fuera con más algodón pues al predominar el poliéster (65%) no resulta tan cómodo el aspecto de la ventilación, en climas calurosos (vivo en zona costera, preferible su uso en lugares templados o frios) me llega a ser un algo incómodo.El corte se define como Modern Fit, cae suelta la pierna y es algo relaxed, por llamarle de alguna manera.

El pantalon esta muy bien en cuanto calidad de costuras y tela, lo unico que no me gusto es que no viene tan estubado, ya que he usado diferentes pantalones de la misma marca y este venia un poco "aguado" o grande por decirlo asi

I bought a pair a few years ago and loved the, had a bit of an accident and tore the knee. Awesome that Amazon had a replacement.

They're nice looking pants that look like the pictures, and fit well or did until I gained some weight. Might have to order another pair soon.

Este diseño viene muy amplio en todos los aspectos lo tuve que regresar sin embargo la tela es muy buena, me he quedado con otro de talla mas chica.
