Would this be strong enough to bear average human weight if used to make a tree swing?

I believe it would bear the weight with ease. Are you making a wooden swing seat or buying a plastic one? It makes sense to have a rope at each corner, so it may be two ropes coming down from the tree branch with a a big eye splice one each rope which would be passed through the two holes on each side, preferably with a knot beneath each hole to stop the rope slipping through and tilting seat? have fun Nick

Is this bouyant or does it sink please?

Cant be certain as my usage was on shoreside rigging but from past afloat seamanship experience it seems relatively dense so I suspect it sinks. Suggest you contact manufacturer/seller
