Good Food: Traybakes

Great book, great selection of traybake recipes both sweet and savoury. Book was in very good condition considering it was "used". Very pleased with my purchase, a real bargain price!

All the recipes are shown step-by-step, using simple ingredients, with a full nutritional breakdown of each dish at the bottom of every recipe page. They are all fuss-free and tasty recipes for the perfect tray bake, triple-tested by the trusted team at Good Food BBC. These are foolproof recipes, so that you can cook with confidence and eat well. This Traybakes Cookery Book is just one of a set of BBC Good Food Cookery Books to collect - an excellent set of Penguin Food and Drink Paperback Cookery Books.

This came well packed and is ready to use its a very beautiful colourful designed tray bake selection cooking book it's sturdy and has a big selection of sweet and savoury tray bakes to try it would be great for beginners or children to learn to bake a great buy thanks

I’ve got quite a few of these Good Food cookbooks, and they are a great find. The books are well presented, and stay open properly in the kitchen environment which can be a real boon. The recipes are clearly laid out, and always have a great colour picture to illustrate each recipe. The recipes themselves are tasty and I have never found one that did not satisfy completely, both the creative cook, and the eager scoffers of the cook’s creations. This book offers delicious traybakes, not a term you often find in New Zealand, but the concept really appealed to me – wonderful baking tins full of great food. The book has sections divided into: Fabulous and Fruity Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate Cook with Kids Celebration Bakes Time to Impress Something Savoury The bulk of the recipes are sweet, apart from the one section on savoury items (some 20 recipes). There is even a Bacon and Egg Pie recipe (something which the book says is only commonly found in New Zealand and Australia, which I did not know). Here in New Zealand a Bacon and Egg Pie is a staple for any picnic or family lunch, and I encourage anyone to try making it – it’s delicious and looks great, and goes well with any family get-together. The recipe in this book has jars of roasted peppers which is not somethiing I would generally put in my Bacon & Egg pie – just loads of bacon, piles of eggs (some beaten lightly, and some whole so you get the glorious yellow yolks when you cut the pie), parsley, and good pastry – delicious hot or cold! This is a book I’m really eager to dive into, and one which I know I will get hours of enjoyment from.

There are some nice recipes and a good variety. The big drawback is that the recipes use so many different sizes of baking tin. I find it frustrating, and it has put me off using the recipes. I have quite a well-stocked kitchen, and I know it is possible to adapt recipes from one tin to another, but it is still a nuisance. Please, someone, write a tray-bake book that uses the same size of tin throughout!

Good mixed recipes e.g. focaccia, toad in the hole, quiche lorraine frittata, tuna and sweetcorn slice, even battenberg. Quite impressed with the variety and as for the price, that's just great. Plenty of traybakes to do.

Great little book and excellent traybake recipes.

Este pequeño libro tiene unas recetas increíbles. Todas ellas muy bien explicadas y con una buena fotografía del resultado para que se te haga la boca agua. Muchísima variedad. Nada de ingredientes raros ni dificultad en casi ninguna de las recetas. Muchas de las recetas son geniales si tienes poco tiempo y tienes mono de algo dulce. Muy recomendable.
