Highly recommend!
Love the variation of sizes, the weight of these are not as heavy as my other cast iron pans. Nice coating on them from factory. Distributes heat quite nicely and evenly. Made very well

Great quality
I wanted to return these and get something bigger. They’re a little bit smaller but they let the company let me keep them and refunded me the money anyhow so I went ahead and learned how to season cast-iron and used one today. It worked really nice food taste good and the food didn’t stick to the pan cast iron was used by my parents and I was growing up food supposed to taste better and they’ll last forever and you don’t get all that chemical stuff in your body after the Teflon pans wear out great quality for the price durability it’s gonna be great quick evenly. That’s another thing with cast-iron as it cooks evenly pan heats up all over the pan very nice.

There a great deal for the price. They are not super heavy like the lodge brand yet do the job well and have good weight to them.

Oil them along with yourself
*LATEST AND MOST MOIST UPDATE APRIL 15 2026* So now I am using this cast iron pan with a new mini hibachi/yakitori grill, the IronMaster cast iron grill ci-1608M With the duraflame charcoal logs. Why? I’ll tell you why and then you will know why and you’ll be like, “oh that’s why”. Here’s why. The little logs get super freakin hot, hotter than gas or regular charcoal. So you put like 7-8 logs in the grill with fire starters under the bottom rack and light through the air inlet slot-it’s the easiest way and less wasteful then a chimney that lights the logs really unevenly. Then wait 20 minutes at which point the logs are hotter than 600 degrees and they are grey. Then put the skillet on the grill for like 3-5 minutes and it is mega hot but handle stays cool. The grills footprint is perfect for the big pan and the smaller ones are fine too. Together it is like one super hot package of cast iron. With this I do a super hot sear in Amish butter roll butter on thick beef fillets of 4 lbs per set (4x1 lb medallions), and then transfer right to the grill to finish. If you like cast iron this is a great and fun combo to try. It’s actually convenient and efficient with delicious results and not to mention it is an indestructible and quite portable package. The pans are still like new and maintain themselves at this point. And I’ve been using grapeseed oil more with them. It’s great for high heat but will impart a pleasant sweet accent to your food so that should be considered in choosing it vs avocado oil which is much more neutral but for beef it’s beef tallow and/or butter finish. We made some great fried rice in the big pan recently and it s as good as in the wok but not so easy to flip around. Definitely easier with a wok. I still have not ever put soap on the pans, just boiling water to clean and sterilize. *Update Jan 25 2026* No issues at all rock solid and rust free. Been making blackened chicken outside. Super hot pan with a little oil and I use chef Paul Prudhommes blackened REDFISH MAGIC. -it’s so good- and slap blackened season chicken breast on there for like 30 seconds a side and finish in oven. The heat a cast iron pan handles is the KEY for proper blackened seasoning finish. The smell is incredible. Without a cast iron skillet it’s not correct. This pan is as clean as the day I got it still. All I do is boil water in it after use to keep it. I mean yes it is just a cast iron pan set but with all the crap that masquerades as quality stuff it’s nice to know that for a decent price there are still products that can last like things used to. Especially when it’s always questionable as to what things are really made from when it comes to metal products from china/india/Pak, so it’s legit. *Update* we have been using these a lot a lot. Holding up great and rust free. Minimal maintenance for sure. After using the easiest way to clean them is simply to boil water in them for a few minutes and they come out clean and smooth. Not much need to re-oil but a light coat of oil doesn’t hurt if not using often. On the stovetop inside, a medium heat like 5-6 keeps the smoke in check from butter especially since smoke point is so low for butter. Avocado oil works great for least smoke. Outdoors I cook as hot as possible with these. Great set. Once seasoned they are right on. Heavy weight and expected usability. Just keep them oiled and they won’t rust. The little one ended up in the dishwasher once and I had to reseason it after removing rust so I don’t recommend that. Also you have to know how to use them indoors; lower heat and they like tallow. It smokes much less than other oils or butters or both. I use all three sometimes together on heart attack night. They have a smoother bottom than some cast iron I have used so that is good too.

Solid Cast Iron Set for yourself or a gift!
Ordered these in November 2023. They are all still going strong. I have some grease burning underneath because I don't take care of the bottom. The cast iron cooking service is still superb. I just cooked a steak on the big skillet and might've been a top 3 steak I've ever had! I've thrown these in the oven the fridge the sink everywhere but the dishwasher so far.

The "preseason" is a fad - sticky and rusty
This isn't my first rodeo with cast iron pans. This nifty little triplet come in different sizes, with the smaller two hardly being big enough to fit anything more than one or two fried eggs in. Oh, and they're pretty hefty (but manageable). Size often doesn't matter, it's what you can do or want to do with it, obviously. However, I used only the largest pan. They come "preseasoned" that makes it appear and the average person think that it's ready to use out of the box; but do not be fooled by this claim. I put it to the test and used the largest pan right out of the box - the meat was sticking and left an awful residue on the bottom of the pan. I scrubbed it until what seemed like my fingers would bleed and finally got it to a point where I thought it was clean. Onto the next trial! I stripped the pans. And then I reseasoned them quite a few times over a 12 hour period, and then once more the next day. Yes, the smell was not nice but I figured these seemed durable and well made so might as well give them a second chance. I tried the same meal later, unfortunately same issue - things sticking to the bottom and making it nearly impossible to clean. I've never had a problem with cast irons sticking so much. Not sure what's up with these, but preseason or self season didn't seem to want to stick on the pan.

Good pans
They weren't seasoned, but they were heavy and durable. I loved that they had a handle on each side.
