Gift Set + Poster - Limited Edition Box Set (The Power to Choose): 9781733094634: Adir Levy, Ganit Levy, Mat Sadler: Books Review: Worth it! - Well worth getting the three-book set. Each book is engaging, with beautiful illustrations, friendly font, and good quality paper. Written in a language that is totally accessible to young readers, yet clear enough to explain each dilemma. Very age-appropriate decisions- for example whether to raise your hand in class and risk embarrassment, or not raise and risk not learning the material. In response to another reviewer- the authors encourage children to also choose the wrong behavior just to see what happens, not because it’s the child’s real choice! The message is that we all make mistakes sometimes, but we “use the power to choose wisely” and hope that tomorrow we are better than today. These books are a fun way to develop critical thinking skills and a healthy attitude about making decisions. Review: Good book for decision making for kids - Such a cute book set, especially for kids with impulse control issues. I have read this to my son multiple times, he likes that he gets to choose what to do next and that depending on his choice the story changes. It encourages good decision making, plus taking the time to review the available options and the situation to make the best choice for that day.

Keep story time interesting!
If your kids are anything like mine they start memorizing their favorite books and then get bored of them very quickly. Since purchasing the Danny series my 4 year old insists that we read ALL 3 every single night. He loves the interactivity that allows him to make choices as we go, and we have been using our “power to choose” in every day life also. He is demonstrating an understanding of right and wrong and that thinking about choices and what might happen ahead of time because of this book. Sometimes he chooses the wrong things on purpose because he is curious and wants to see what will happen, but when he does he says “I wouldn’t choose that but I want to find out what happens if HE does” A very creative way to teach the consequences of your choices and begin practicing thinking before acting.

A great book about choices
I bought this book for my goddaughter and my nephew. He makes all the wrong choices. She makes all the right choices. They love this book and coincidentally my husband‘s name is Danny so they got a really big kick out of that.
