Click is a high-concept, low-brow variation on It's a Wonderful Life that will have Adam Sandler fans laughing even as it leaves Frank Capra spinning in his grave. In their third collaboration (after The Wedding Singer and The Waterboy , Sandler and director Frank Coraci aim at the lowest common denominator and consistently hit their target, from scary casting (David Hasselhoff as Sandler's shallow, sexist boss; Sean Astin in a tight red Speedo) to a rancid menu of fart jokes, fat jokes, over-sexed dogs, and other attempts at humor that rarely rise above the level of grade-school pranks. Sandler's "family comes first" sentiment somehow manages to survive the onslaught of rude, crude attitude that Sandler brings to his role as Michael Newman, a workaholic architect who learns the hard way that, well, family comes first. This happens after Newman gets a magical remote control from Morty (Christopher Walken, the film's one and only highlight), an eccentric oddball in the "Beyond" section of a Bed, Bath & Beyond store who's a devillish version of Wonderful Life's benevolent guardian angel. But Sandler's no James Stewart as he uses his techno-marvel (complete with a DVD-like "life menu") to fast-forward through his life's most unpleasant moments, only to realize that he's been missing lots of good stuff, too. With Kate Beckinsale as Newman's neglected wife, impressive older-age make-ups by Rick Baker and a lot of digital wizardry to beef up the humour, Click won't disappoint Sandler's established fan base, and its $40 million opening weekend offered ample proof that Sandler's box-office clout remains remarkably consistent. --Jeff Shannon, desertcart.com A harried workaholic, Michael Newman (Adam Sandler) doesn't have time for his wife (Kate Beckinsale) and children, not if he's to impress his ungrateful boss and earn a well-deserved promotion. So when he meets Morty (Christopher Walken), a loopy sales clerk, he gets the answer to his prayers: a magical remote that allows him to bypass life's little distractions with increasingly hysterical results. But as Michael gleefully mutes, skips and scans past his family and his friends, the remote gradually takes over his life and begins to program him, in this fast, funny and out-of-control comedy adventure. Review: Very good film - Very good film Review: Charming entry on a well trodden path. - Michael Newman is overworked and under appreciated by his boss, worse still, he doesn't have enough hours in the day to devote time to his loving family. But then he happens upon eccentric salesman Morty, who puts a universal remote control Michael's way, a control that perfectly controls his life.......at first. Films that deal with second chances via gods, angels and devils are not in short supply, everything from the mighty It's A Wonderful Life, to the amiable Mr Destiny have covered this fantastical field. Enter Click, starring Adam Sandler {Newman}, another spin on the genre with the added kick of encompassing modern day technology into the equation. Split very much into two vastly different halves, Click finds Sandler reining in his usual shouty goof ball persona. Naturally for the first part we get the comedy set ups, at times hilarious and at others a little crass, but it's never sledgehammer comedy of the like that Sandler has previously served up in spades. The reason for the restraint becomes evident when the films second half arrives, full of emotional fortitude it's something of a shock at first to grasp the switch in tone, but it works real well, and it's testament to Sandler's straight acting ability that he manages to sway the viewer into this fantastical realm. Click is no genius piece of work, and for the genre it tackles it's probably some way short of being up with the best. It does however punch the right buttons. From Sandler and a highly accomplished supporting cast {Kate Beckinsale, Christopher Walken, Sean Astin and Henry Winkler}, to its delightful and rewarding finale, this most definitely is one that is worth punching play on your remote control for. Whilst the credit sequences and soundtrack hit the spot as well, give it a go if you get the chance. 7/10

It's Wholesome, even in 2025!!!!
I am seeing this movie for the first time in 2025, and it beats all the loads of crappy movies produced and aired on Amazon within the last 6 months put together. It deserves lifetime awards!!! It's deep, funny, entertaining, and innovative. It is a well-directed movie, with attention to detail. The innovation projected into the future in 2021 was just wow! The radio announcement that said Britney had 23 children and MJ sued his own clone was wild! This movie was way ahead of its time, and I am so glad that I was able to see it within the last 4 hours of its viewing permit time left on Prime. It says it will be taken off Prime in a few hours, but I hope there will be a platform to air this in the future, because I am sure my children will find it enjoyable by 2035.

Fun, witty and emotional film!
What a good film, it has lots of life lessons incorporated into the movie and kept me hooked the whole time. I really enjoyed seeing the same characters but with age or weight added as this was really interesting concept to show the time machine effect. This film had me laughing and crying which is why I say it was an emotional movie for me! I'd highly recommend this to watch with family or friends, especially since its rated a 12 you can watch it with the children!

Cinematic Masterpiece
Dear Mr Sandler, On the week commencing the 25th of October 2021, me and my comrades viewed this feature film and let me say, we are big fans. When the credits rolled on this masterpiece, we were stunned, stunning, weeping, crying, bawling, and laughing. Our lives are forever changed by this phenomenal movie. I hope to continue viewing more of your movies, particularly “Jack and Jill” which I believe will be quite the “hoot”. Sincerely, Ethan Walker Third year Biology student And a big fan

Predictable formula from Sandler but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Easy to watch and jovial family entertainment

One of Sandlers better films
This is one of Adam Sandlers better films of later years. I preferred his earlier stuff like Happy Gilmore or Big Daddy but click seemed to be up there with them. It is a nice story about putting your family and loved ones first in life. I would compare the story to Charles Dickens 'A Christmas Carol'. The story basically is Adam Sandler gets given a remote control from Christopher Walken and he can use this remote for general life, for example he can pause and fast forward time. A clever well thought out story that will have you laughing and crying but afterwards feeling refreshed and satisfied.
