Q: Do these Octopus Hooks run smaller than Mustad or Gamakatsu Octopus?

About the same size as Gamakatsu. (I bought size 8) The seller provides pictures of the exact size. The shape of this hook bends slightly more toward the shank than Gamakatsu.

Q: Can i ise the size 6 hook for trout?

If the trout you are targeting are greater than 10”, size 6 would be fine. If you are trying to get smaller trout, then you probably want to down size the hook.

Q: R they good for red fish

Yes. They are sharp, not sure if they are rust resistant

Q: What is the size in mm?

Hooks are always measured using a scale. If you start at 0 and go smaller, the size will be smaller as the number increases (a size 4 hook is smaller than a size 2 hook) if you start at 0 again and get larger… the numbers will be written 1/0, 2/0, 3/0 and so on. A 6/0 hook is larger than a 2/0 hook. All manufacturers will size their hooks this way. You will never see hooks measured in mm though. There may be a slight difference in size between manufacturer A’s 4/0 hook and Manufacturer B’s 4/0 hook though. Every fisherman has his preference in the brand he chooses also

These hooks are ok

The hooks were as described..My only issue was that theHook eyes on a few of the hooks, seemedNot fully closed clean and seemed that itCould possibly cause light line to break.But I'm happy enough with purchase.

Nice hooks and correct size. I ordered some from another place that sent me 8/0 which are too large for what I needed. these are the correct size #8 and I would buy them again.

Steelhead tested.

Good hooks. I usually use owner and gamakatsu. Tried these because I lose alot on snags in nw oregon. Good on steelhead. Stay sharp on fingernail test after fishing, snags, normal use.. had one bad hook with straightened eye in box. I have horsed on steelhead and pulled them off snags, used pliers to remove from fish..none have bent or broke. I'd definitely use more..
