Good seat, looked nice, closing action was smooth. Easy to fit. Would happily have given it 5 stars.Except that 2 months in for no apparent reason and after only light use the seat itself snapped and not while someone heavy was on it.Could be a one off but at this price I wouldn't risk it again

I really liked this toilet seat when I bought it. It was comfortable to sit on, stayed tight exactly like it says it does and the slow close worked well. Problem is now only 4 months later its completely knackered. First the soft close stopped working so you'd have to push it down yourself or it would just sit there halfway open. Then I noticed grey dust accumulating around the hinges right before they fell apart and the bottom seat swivels wildly about. The fixings are still nice and tight though.I wouldn't mind if this was cheap, you get what you pay for... Also if it was abused or mistreated I couldn't complain but my toilet is clean and well taken care of.

I purchased this toilet seat for our family bathroom so it has taken some hammer so to speak! But in short it is fantastic: the seat was very easy to install, the pack comes with:2 x Long Metal Bolts2 x Sta-Tite Nuts2 x Bushings2 x Plastic WashersTo install the seat I used a 13mm socket wrench (but a spanner should be fine) to tighten the seat into place. Worth noting the instructions that come with this are fantastically clear and installation was very straight forward.The main things I like about the seat, and the two features that pushed me to buy the seat, is it's soft close function which is excellent, and how well the seat stays in place (thanks to the Sta-Tite nuts); since install it hasn't moved one bit. It's so good we've now purchased another for our en-suite. Easy to clean and it looks good (as good as a toilet seat can!), would highly recommend.

At first I was impressed with this product BUT I've had to return both seats I bought for my two toilets as both seats just cracked after about 6 months use. I like to point out here that I'm not a fatty or neither is my Mrs and it would appear this is a design fault. I have noticed that the seat plastic rests are located too far forward. This means that by default the weight of your body causes the seat to bend and overtime causes the seat to fracture. Also, the seat would appear not to be solid wood and is made of a compressed wood bits which also contributes to a design weakness. Having spent £40 on each seat I feel the product offers poor value and quality.

Loved this toilet seat when new. First seat that has not moved around on its mounts. After some time maybe a year and a half the soft close has completely failed. I just took it all apart as it felt like lime scale but no joy its inside the fixed component's . While it was apart I noticed the metal had corroded bad in some spots and the white had also started to come off just from cleaning the seat. I only really worked perfect for the first year then the closure slowly degraded. When you think of the price that is a little disappointing imo ? Note it still has not lost its position or grip hence 3 stars still.

Good quality toilet seat hopefully my fat arse wont break this one.Update to review this seat lasted till the 19th April.Then my fat arse broke it.It is lacking two supprts at the rear of the seat to spread the weight of the user.If you are a big dude(over17st )watch out!

I bought this one to replace the old toilet seat. Having read lots of reviews this seems to be one of the most popular brands. "Stay Tight" is certainly a selling point that persuaded me to make up my mind. The fitting is pretty easy, but I found the rubber washer cannot be stretched to fit the metal hinge. Instead I had to position the hinge carefully to sit loosely on the washer. The seat does fit on the toilet tightly as claimed, but the seat feels quite narrow and sitting on it is not very comfortable; maybe this is due to the shape of the seat which needs to fit "tightly" on the toilet. The product is ok, but slightly below my expectation.

Out the box I could see one of the lid hinges was wobbly, turned out one screw had been over-tightened into the wood and was spinning while the other had been left loose.Not a great start, which I fixed by using a matchstick packer and Araldite.Also, compared to the Duroplast seat I was replacing, this is warm white rather than pure white. Very obvious when compared side-by-side.Installation is simple enough, the metal rods can screw into a choice of five positions under the hinges to accommodate different WCs To ensure it did stay-tight, I added some Loctite to the threads. I had to put the rods right to the back of the hinges and even then there was mm to spare from the close-coupled cistern. I'd say the shape and fitting of this seat is best for 'old skool' WCs with separate cisterns.As per per the video, the plastic nuts sheared when installing. To allow removal, the remaining part of the nut will take a 13mm spanner to undo.Soft close works OK, although the seat squeaks at the top of its travel.I paid £33 in a Daily Deal, TBH that feels about right for the quality.
