Really liking this
When coupled with an S380 and a solar panel it is awesome! The S380 give it the ability for almost infinite local video storage coupled with the AI tools that enable to recognise people.I coupled this ability up to my Home Automation system so that it announces known people as they approach the house, and when it sees the window cleaner it closes window blinds in bedrooms to avoid any awkward moments :-)The Eufy solar panel gives the camera infinite power, meaning no more climbing up a ladder to take the camera down for a recharge. If this camera is the same as other eufy cameras I have been using, even when this camera is facing a busy street, and recording a lot of activities that occur near the house the battery remains 100% throughout the year, rain or shine. The 4K resolution provides a lot of detail and allows you to zoom in on recordings and live view.As my other older eufy outdoor cameras fail, and all outdoor cameras fail eventually, I will replace them with this.

good little 4K cam
this little thing is amazing. I think having this with a separate solar panel is way better than a S40 since you can control where the panel face.

Eufy Security S300 eufyCam 3C: A Solid Choice for My Garden (with a few suggestions for Eufy!)
I've tried many wireless security camera brands over the years – Blink, Ring, and some lesser-known ones – but I've never been truly happy. Nightmare video quality during the day and at night, notification delays, clunky apps... there's always been something. While Eufy isn't perfect, it's become my top choice for a few key reasons.I have two EufyCam 3C cameras, one covering my back door and the other watching over my outhouse/shed in the garden. The built-in spotlight is surprisingly helpful when I'm working outside at night or need to grab something from the shed (yes, I keep my fridge and freezer out there so I'm in and out a lot!). You don't need the spotlight on full blast either; if you're worried about yellowing or don't want it to light up the whole area, just the person's face, you can adjust the brightness in the app. Night vision can be colour if you want or black and white, but with colour night vision, it doesn't show the whole area, whereas black and white gives you a more viewable area.I also have three S330 cameras (the ones with solar panels) at the front and sides of my property, and they're good too (my review for them will be on here under the S330). However, the 3C was better for my garden area because of the trees blocking the solar panels. I've had no issues with battery life like some other users have reported. I get a solid 6 months out of these, but in my garden, the only traffic is me and the family. Even so, I'm not worried about them going flat when I need them for other reasons.I've connected the cameras to my Amazon Alexa Show 8, and that was easy and works very well. I even had them coming up automatically on my old Amazon Fire TV when that worked. However, when that TV broke, I struggled to get them to come up automatically on my new Samsung TV. It can be done, but it's a bit more work. Eufy, you need to add support for other makes of TVs so I can get them coming up when needed on any brand! These aren't 24/7 cameras; they're "when needed" cameras. You can adjust the zones of detection, so you don't have to worry about picking up every Tom, Dick, or Harry passing on the other side of the road.Events are recorded in 4K, which is great. You won't see 4K images on your phone or TV (it's less than 4K), but it's good enough to see what you need. You need a HomeBase 3 for these cameras to work, so if you haven't got one, buy the kit that includes it. The nice thing about the HomeBase 3 is its onboard 16GB memory. It doesn't seem like a lot, but you can upgrade it with an SSD. I haven't yet, as 16GB is doing the job, but I will before I go away. The HomeBase 3 has built-in AI, which helps stop it from picking up things you don't want, like the local cat, bugs, or leaves blowing in the detection zone. You can use it with Wi-Fi. You have to set it up using an ethernet cable, but once that's done, you can switch on Wi-Fi mode and lose the cable. You do need power, though.I was concerned before buying about what would happen if the HomeBase got stolen. Well, Eufy has you covered there—for a price. You can get Eufy cloud storage now. I'm not too worried about theft as the HomeBase 3 is small and can be easily hidden. Not only would they have to get past my cameras without me knowing and into my house, they would also have to search for my HomeBase, which is very well hidden!I'm doing some research into adding internal cameras and sensors to my system, which Eufy also offers. I believe you can get these sensors to trigger the whole system, so the internal camera can start recording and the outside camera can trigger the sirens. I haven't tried that yet, so it's only what I've been told and researched. The speakers on the cameras are loud enough if you want to warn someone or talk to someone through the app. It also has a built-in siren, so if the cameras go off, you can trigger that to go off, alerting passers-by that something is going on. My neighbour says they're loud enough for him to hear when he's in his living room! What I like:Reliable notifications: Eufy's notifications are generally timely and accurate, which is crucial for a security camera. I'm not left wondering if I missed something important.Decent night vision: While not the absolute best, the night vision is good enough to see what's happening on my property. It's a definite improvement over some other brands I've used.Local storage (with HomeBase 3): This is a big plus for me. No subscription fees and my data stays private.Improved app: The Eufy Security app has gotten better with each update. It's fairly user-friendly and has the essential features I need. I especially like being able to control when the cameras are active.Easy setup: Adding the cameras to the HomeBase 3 was a breeze. Just start in the app, press sync, and you're done!Loud speakers and siren: Useful for deterring unwanted activity.Where it falls short:Still room for improvement in video quality: While decent, the video quality could be sharper, especially during the day.Occasional connectivity hiccups: I've had a few instances where the camera briefly lost connection to the HomeBase. It's not a frequent occurrence, but it's worth noting.Price: Eufy cameras are a bit pricier than some competitors.TV compatibility: Needs to be improved to seamlessly work with more TV brands.Overall:The Eufy Security S300 eufyCam 3C is a solid choice for a wireless security camera. It's not perfect, but it addresses many of the frustrations I've had with other brands. If you're looking for reliable notifications, decent night vision, and local storage, Eufy is worth considering.

Works well
Pleased with this purchase. I chose this model as it is mounted under a porch so there is no possibility of a camera with a solar panel on top being used. The battery is draining and I may decide to purchase a separate solar panel attachment and placed this elsewhere. It will depend on how many times a year I need to take the camera down to charge it.
