Piano Literature - Music Through the Piano: Volume 2

The book had fewer pages than I was expecting

A good selection of well selected beginner to early intermediate pieces. Well printed on good quality stock. Not a large selection of pieces though.

A nice way to get early intermediate to intermediate students playing original versions of "classical" music by great composers. Rather than buying a book with just one composer, it covers composers from Bach to Beethoven to Bartok. I use this with any students at this level that can handle taking on more songs than just what their methods book provides.

This is a great follow up to Bastien Piano Literature Volume 1. It contains pieces from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Contemporary periods. The pieces are great for someone who wants to learn to play the different styles by the masters but has not advanced to more difficult levels. The accompanying CD makes it easy to learn the pieces. I would recommend Bastien Piano Literature Volume 2 for anyone who has completed elementary piano lessons through level four and wants to impress others with their repertoire.

It has a great deal of classical pieces that pose a challenge for a player with moderate-advanced experience.

This book was recommended for my daughter by her piano teacher and it was an excellent selection. She really enjoyed the range of pieces in the book and they were at the right playing level for her. The selections are easy enough for a beginner without being too boring or too easy to play. They are mostly short pieces so they don't take too long to learn.

great collection of music for students

I bought this piano music book with two others at the same time. Delighted with all three.

Its a nice book but not what I expected , the songs are too difficult , almost all Bastien books has difficult arrengements so I preferthe Faber books
