Very good printing for a great price
Out of the box, connected and printing within 30 minutes. This printer replaces an A4 Canon7200 with CISS and an A3+ Canon Pixma Pro 9500 MkII with CISS. Both were giving issues from the 3rd party CISS.The initial prints are really good quality photo prints in excess of 600dpi. 1st print after charging ink system and nozzle check was as good as the pixma. Printing wasn't fast, but more than acceptable and the ink dried quickly. The size of the printer is pretty good, quite a small footprint, especially considering how large the pixma was with the connected CISS.I haven't used the scanner yet, but it has decent image quality and other epson scanners I've used have been good so I have no worries there. The printer and papers need profiling to get the best colour matching but were pretty good out of the box and more than adequate for every day use.Very impressed so far for such a relatively cheap printer/scanner (the pixma pro + CISS would be more than £500).

Excellent and reliable printer
Excellent and reliable printer, holds a huge amount of ink that can be bought and topped up very cheaply compared to expensive cartridges. This printer is very fast compared to my old one and the print quality is excellent. It initially does take some time to set-up and connect to the router and update drivers etc - but be patient and once that initial installation time (that took about 30 mins in all) is completed the printer is ready to use and effortlessly connects.

Finally a decent Epson printer.
I have always went for Epson printers when buying and replacing inkjet printers. The main reason being the older printers are cheap and it's easy to find compatible ink cartridges for every Epson I have come across.I finally succumbed to HP for my inkjet needs simply because they started the instant ink service which so far has been worth it.However, I purchased the Epson ET2600 Ecotank printer as I have started using sublimation inks for my business.Knowing full well the hassle of replacing cartridges, fighting with refillable kits, cleaning up the mess and then getting the printer to recognise the cartridges. Just not worth the cost or stress.I decided to gamble on using sublimation inks immediately in this printer instead of using the normal ink that comes with it.My gamble paid off as they work no problem at all.I got the printer home within a few days from my Amazon seller. The box contains everything needed to start printing right away except the paper. You get the printer itself, 4 bottles of ink - the usual Black, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow. The bottles contain 70ml of ink. A UK and Europe power cord and the software disc. Epson have still provided the usual bumf in form of warranty, legal info, user manual etc etc but they have actually cut this down a lot. Thankfully.Anyway, the printer also comes with less internal packaging and tape than they used to. Again, I'm grateful. Just 2 strips of blue tape to remove.Plugged in, switched on, software disc in computer. Runs for 20 seconds then you get offered to continue set up using most up-to-date online software.I opted for online software. Takes a minute to download drivers etc. Wizard opens up to take you step by step through set up.It struggled to connect wirelessly. Tried a few times but to no avail. Had to uninstall all the software and drivers and start againAttempt 2... much better. Part of the set up requires the ink to be inserted. No cartridges meant no thumbling around.Bearing in mind I opted for sublimation inks, they still insert the same way.The Ecotank is on the right hand side as you look at the printer. They are easy to identify as they are well labelled. All you do is pull off the rubber cap and pour in the ink then replace the rubber cap.I would like to see something a bit better than rubber caps as the ones on my ET2600 are quite loose. I would prefer a tighter fit or screw cap so they are more secure.Back following the wizard, the ink needs to feed through to the print heads. A process Epson call 'charging the ink'. This takes around 20 minutes. A long, tedious and boring 20 minutes. Finally, Epson try to force all the usual software on you. OCR software for the scanner, photo and card making software etc. Just skip past it unless you really want it.A quick test print and your done.Using the printer has been a positive experience. Top load paper that goes print side facing you then comes out the front.Easy to use printer software. Settings are easy to navigate to such mirror image or type of paper or quality settings.Printing quality is excellent. A4 is the maximum size. Printing is very quick, even on highest quality settings. The quality is so good that even using sublimation inks, I have managed to get away with using the standards settings for printing.Scanner works no problem at all with Microsoft paint. Open paint and click on 'Scan From Printer'All in, I paid just over £140 as there was a discount offered. No quibble though as it does the job well.

Great little printer
A great little printer & it's smaller than it looks!Just sits there very quietly, using very little energy, in a sleep mode.It may wake-up momentarily to self-clean the print nozzle every now & then - so clogging shouldn't be an issue. Then just gets on printing when you need it - you wake it up to start printing by touching the power-on button.Printing starts almost straight away - no warm-up - no paper jamming..No cartridges to buy - Yippee - the ink comes in bottles at about £8 per (4) colour - and you get lots of it - they say 2 yrs per refill. This Epson replaces a Xerox 8570 - an expensive machine that used wax ink at over £400 per refill & jammed a lot - needless to say that one went into the dumpster.

All good after initial set up and print
I read a lot of the reviews about this printer ET-2600 good and bad! Considering the average of 4 stars our of 310 reviews and the fact I wanted to try a non cartridge printer I went ahead and bought one.Initially I tried to connect wifi the 'normal' way but that didn't work so between a helpful review and the internet I used the WPS button and it connected. Not the first time but after turning printer off then on it connected 2nd time. I have Windows 10 on my laptop and everything went fine from then on, printed well and tested out iPrint on my iphone with normal paper and photo paper and all good there. My partner has a macbook pro so that one needed new software downloaded for the new printer. Easy enough through Epson website and that worked fine.So initial review is 5 stars, will update further down the line as we use it every week.

One of the worst printers
I bought this because it was said to be cheap to run - it has ink tanks instead of having to buy cartridges. Unfortunately there's a price to pay. When printing text there are often lines of text that appear to be almost italic. Colour degrades surprisingly quickly in the sense that it doesn't take long for white lines to start appearing on pictures. About 18 months after I bought it, the colour rendition fell off a cliff - it had the most horrendous colour cast to the extent that there's little point in trying to print in colour. I've tried everything in the guides to correct it but nothing helps. This is definitely a don't buy.
