Is this rebounder OK to use with bare feet, or do you need to wear trainers? Thanks.

For gentle walking excercise I think bare feet are ok. BUT. . . I would advise As the Max Pro Rebounders own customers service says wear trainers if doing strenuous exercise.One miss and you could get a toe injured in a spring jumping barefooted especially without a bar attached.I am old and use it for sustaining mobility, complete with a safety bar. (An old Fogies handle) I call it.

Is it that loud it's likely to wake the kids up?

No it is not loud. It is rather like walking on grass as it it gentle on your knees. If you jump on it it is still not loud. Depending on the age of you kids you could always let them enjoy jumping on it under your supervision using the handle bar you can get for them. I have one because of my age.

Do the legs have to be removed in order to fold it all the way down into four?

Dear Dee, The legs are spring loaded so they just fold down. There is no unscrewing of the legs or removing of the legs so it just takes seconds to fold away and set up. I hope this helps! Best regards Maximus Life customer service

Any metal sprung mini trampoline needs the springs to be lubricated once in a while to prevent them drying out. This is easily done by applying a little Vaseline or coconut oil to either end of every spring maybe once every 6 months. The maximus rebounder even comes with a little lubrication substance which is brilliant!
