This DVD features the full Wrestlemania 27 event spread over two discs. It also features a bonus match from the pre-show, the full Hall of Fame ceremony and 'Legendary Moments', a presentation that was released on a DVD on it's own in North America.Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus - This wasa Lumberjack match for the United States Championship and took place on the pre-show. It really should have been a great match as I know these two are more than capable of that. Unfortunately instead we got a couple of minutes of wrestling before it got out of control and was just turned into a Battle Royal. Then it was just standard Battle Royal action, nothing special about it and a disappointment overall. The main show starts off with a long promo from the Rock. While it was great to see the Rock back at the time this took up a lot of time and didn't really add anything to the event. I don't like when a pay-per-view contains a promo like this, I understand that The Rock was the guest host but he didn't need to take up this much time. He'd already done pretty much the same promo on RAW when he returned and while that was a great moment it wasn't needed here.Edge vs. Alberto Del Rio - The first match of the night was for Edge's World Heavyweight Championship. It was unknown at the time, even by Edge himself, but this would be Edge's final ever wrestling match. It was a good opening match with some good psychology as Alberto worked over Edge's arm to set up for his cross arm-beaker finish. Christian and Brodus Clay got involved on the outside but it wasn't too much so didn't take away from the match. They sort of cancelled each other out so it never hurt the action. They could have used more time but knowing what we do now about Edge's condition it's probably for the best that it was as short as it was. The match was followed by Edge and Christian damaging Del Rio's car, this seemed unnecessary and a waste of time which could have been used on the match itself.Cody Rhodes vs. Rey Mysterio - This was a very good back and forth match. The action was strong and they told a good story with it. Cody Rhodes' protective face guard was central to the action as was Rey Mysterio's knee brace which originally injured Cody's face. There were some near-falls in the action and I really enjoyed the psychology with the face shield and knee brace as they made them key parts of the match without focusing on them too much. The finish was also really good. It could have done with more time but it was very good while it lasted.Kane, Big Show, Kofi Kingston and Santino Marrela vs. The Corre(Wade Barrett, Ezekial Jackson, Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel) -This was a pointless addition to the card. I think it took more time for me to type out the participants of the match than it did for the match to be over. It wasn't a necessary match at all and just wasted time that could have gone to one of the many matches that could have needed it.Randy Orton vs. CM Punk - This was another very good back and forth match. The action was really good and featured some good psychology. CM Punk focused his attack on the already injured knee throughout the match, which Randy sold really well. It affected his offence for the rest of the match and gave out on him when he went for his punt kick and I really enjoyed that. Punk also put over how devastating the RKO was by his desperation to avoid it. The finish was strong and decisive and this was my match of the night.Jerry "The King" Lawler vs. Michael Cole - This was Lawler's only ever Wrestlemania match. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin was the special guest referee. This match should have been a quick squash, people wanted to see Michael Cole quickly beaten just as he deserved. Unfortunately this match, including entrances and post match rubbish, was given the most time on the card with the exception of Triple H and Undertaker. CM Punk, Randy Orton, John Cena, Rey Mysterio, Edge, Cody Rhodes and Alberto Del Rio were all given less time to work with than this match. It's really bad, they give Michael Cole offence with the help of Jack Swagger and it just goes on for ages. Looking back at it now there's the occasional entertaining moments while Lawler is beating down Cole but they are too far apart with too much Michael Cole offence in the middle. Then the finish was terrible because of the anonymous RAW general manager.Triple H vs. The Undertaker - This was a No Holds Barred match and Undertaker was going in to the match with a 18 match Wrestlemania undefeated streak. It was a match that felt like a really big deal from the moment the entrances began. It was a really great match with the two men exchanging their most powerful moves right from the very beginning as they knew that's what it would take to win. Triple H dishes out so much punishment to The Undertaker that this took more out of him than any Wrestlemania match he'd had so far. There were plenty of near falls, some of which were extremely convincing. There is a lot of time where the two are both on the mat which adds to the story of the match and sells the damage that the two had taken but it might be off-putting to some people who could see it as boring. Personally I think it only adds to the match and they tell a great story with it but others may disagree. I think it's a great match but because of it's length and the time on the mat might be one you wouldn't want to watch too often. These two would go on to top this match the next year at Wrestlemania.Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi, Trish Stratus and John Morrison vs Dolph Ziggler and LayCool (Layla and Michelle McCool) - This match was really short, it's a shame this is the best they could do for Ziggler and Morrison. It didn't feel as pointless as the tag match earlier in the night though as it worked as a breather between the amazing Triple H/Undertaker match and the main event. Still, nothing special and the time could have gone to something much more entertaining. The Miz vs. John Cena - This was the main event for the WWE Championship. The Miz really shouldn't have been in the Wrestlemania main event at this time but the video package before it did an awesome job of making him feel like a big deal and getting me excited for the match. The match itself was nothing special. I won't go as far as to call it the worst Wrestlemania main event of all time, as there were some pretty bad ones in the early years, but it wasn't good. Cena appeared to be rocked fairly early in the match which felt weird and out of character for him. The action was ok for the most part. It did end with the worst finish possible though, a double count-out. Then the anonymous RAW general manager and The Rock restarted the match, which took forever so ruined any flow the match had and then The Rock got involved and basically chose the winner. The ending to the biggest show of the year was all just to set up a match for a year later. It could have been done better if that was what they were going for, like have the Rock announce the match as no disqualification before it starts and then be at ringside and get involved that way. Anyway this was a very bad end to the show. The second disc also contains a 'Legendary Moments' countdown feature. It's alright but it's just made up of clips from other DVDs, mainly the best of RAW and Smackdown sets. The third disc features the Hall of Fame ceremony, I don't particularly enjoy watching those ceremonies but if you do it's there and I know a lot of people do enjoy that.Overall this was a mixed bag of a Wrestlemania. It certainly has it's quality matches, Triple H vs, Undertaker, Cody Rhodes vs. Rey Mysterio and CM Punk vs. Randy Orton all delivered great matches and so I'd recommend this DVD if you don't already own those on other discs. There's a lot of bad too though, The Rock's opening promo was generic and unnecessary, the main event was not up to standard and had an awful finish, Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole took half an hour to give us what should have been a two minute thing and the two tag matches were just a waste of time.

The granddaddy of them all
An epic Wrestlemania... Undertaker vs. HHH. Edge vs. Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship (Edge's final match). Randy Orton vs. CM Punk. The Miz vs. John Cena for the WWE Championship. And more...And if that wasn't enough, it was the Wrestlemania that Shawn Michaels, Legion Of Doom, Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Sunny. Were inducted into the Hall Of Fame.
