Remo SP-0207-TD Thunder Tube

Both children and adults love this product. It makes such a unique sound and is just as good as the more expensive versions. Very reasonable price and exciting instrument for children of all ages to explore.

Excellent product that gives you an added dimension to your percussion playing and recording. You’d be surprised how many noises you can get out of this thing!

I bought this as something to use in class with my year 5 children after seeing one on a science course. I love the sound it makes - effectively it is a drum membrane across a card tube with a spring attached, however, give it a shake and you get a sound which somewhat imitates thunder. It is not as good as the bigger ones out there, but is much more manageable and cheaper so you need to make your own choice. One note - I did buy it with the intention of using it to get my class's attention, but i didn't think it through - the low pitch of this means that it isn't very good at being heard above the normal chatter in the classroom. But it is not designed for this purpose so I can't be too upset with this.

Great "instrument". Not sure how to play it in a melodious way, but it's great fun, I like it almost as much as my toddler (... can't say the same of our cats of course... they have learned to leave the room as soon as the thunder tube appears =^^= )

A perfect gift for a child of parents you really wish to annoy. This is one of those items that just doesn't stop giving. It's really loud and thunderous and kids love it. Buy with confidence. The only thing is that you will have to hang around long enough with said parents as I guarantee the tube will be taken away 10 seconds after you leave.

Brought for my attention autism box and the kids love it and it is very sturdy.

Fun and unusal instrument in a vibrant tie dye colour. Simply hold it around middle and shake from your wrist not entire arm. You can move your palm on/off the opening of tube to create different sounds vibrations. You can also scrape your finger nail along spring while holding tube still. It noisy and loud and will appeal to kids, not sure patents will agree though.

Amazing sound. I bought this for my class at primary school. I heard one used by Evelyn Glennie and just had to buy one. Very noisy!

The quality is great and at this price it's good but the sound is not that great. It's kind of metallic and not thunder like.

très bien, un bruit claire. On a pas tout a fait le tonnerre mais pas rapport au grand format, le son est de meilleur qualité ici. Je recommande.
