Set of Replacement Ceramic disc & Silicon Washer Insert Turn 1/2" for Valve Tap

This was just what I needed and took only 2 minutes to effect the repair. If only I'd known which part indicated clockwise/anti-clockwise turn to on! If you've not done it before, make sure you check the alignment on the lower disk of the holes against the lug and match it with the one you remove. One has lug next to hole and the other has lug between the two holes. Get it wrong and it will reverse the direction of operation which is what I found when I turned the water back on! I had to re-do the job, but it was worth it because I'd not bee able to find a replacement cartridge for the particular requirements of my Chinese made tap!

Fitted, Tao dripping, removed and filed file off small spur on disc. Now work perfectly but shoukdn’t Have to do this!

Should of checked the tap first, these are different to what is fitted to the tap that is leaking. Though I must say that on research there are hundreds of different ceramic cartridges so I guess these will fit quite a few of them as they do appear to be of good quality.

No negatives here they fitted the bill!

Developed a bad leak on a basin tap over the Christmas period. Unable to source replacements locally. Chanced these were the correct size which luckily they were. Arrived earlier than anticipated. Leak repaired within 10 minutes

The ceramic discs are not the same thickness as the originals, nor indeed, as each other for some strange reason. Thus they do not seal adequately against the supplied sealing was he. Consequently, the unit passes water continously, so no use.Eventually found a complete cartridge unit which is almost perfect. These systems are a pain compared to and old-fashioned rubber washer sealed system.

I have no problem with the quality of the product, however the ceramic disc set were of a different size to the ones fitted to my kitchen tap. I had obviously not checked on the sizing of the washer set required.

If it's not a very universal size, then checking the size exactly should be mentioned in the description much more prominently.Even the cartridges have a multitude of different sizes.
