I take a broad spectrum of supplements daily. I have a small bowl of tablets and capsules to get through. Ease of swallowing is therefore a VERY IMPORTANT FACTOR for me. I find these capsules (see pic) FAIRLY easy to swallow despite their large size because they are not at all powdery. They are not ‘dry’ in the mouth. This is why I usually prefer capsules.In the interest of curiosity (and I’m not recommending this) I allowed one to stay in my mouth to see what would happen. It did NOT QUICKLY DISINTEGRATE. It was not unpleasant. I then chewed it up. The taste of the contents developed quite a strong flavour VERY quickly. A bit salty and quite sweet is how I’d describe it. This doesn’t convey the intensity though. I shuddered. Whatever this stuff is, it dissolves into ‘nothing’ VERY RAPIDLY. I was content to let my mouth clear itself without a drink of water.I much prefer a bottle. THIS IS A GOOD ONE! Large with a ‘flip top’ opening. Simple and convenient.I am taking this supplement and so far I feel great. I’m not in a position to provide scientific data from my simple experiments but I’m very practised at listening to my body and mind. I’m happy to continue with this supplement.I hope these opinions and observations are helpful.

I discovered Lysine when looking for a prdpcut to help an elderly relative get back in their feet after shingles. In fact I ended up taking then as more of a protective/ preventative approach as i was previously a cold sore sufferer . Since taking Lysine f9r some years now I've virtually eliminated recurring cold sores all together and when they do rarely appear they are gone in a couple or days as opposed to lingering for 2-3 weeks as they used to. As long as you avoid chocolate, grains and peanuts (which can counertact its effects) Lysine helps ward off the herpes virus, at least it works for me... These particular tablets are much better than my usual product because they are much easier to swallow, rather than the chunky ones I usually take which feel like swallowing a small piece of chalk! They are pricier than my usual brand who have a permanent offer on their larger jars. However, if you have difficulty swallowing large tablets, I recommend these for comfort value alone!.

A really interesting supplement I would definitely recommend you do research on before you take it.As always with supplements, it's very difficult to make any note of the difference - especially when I research and find out what they're for. I recommend starting with places like WebMD.In my research it seems people use it a lot for cold sores with a fair degree of success! I am not using it for that reason.Five stars.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍
