Super light compared to my old Vax, but thats got to be close to 15 or more years old. Any how. Put into service as soon as delivered, comes with 250ml of cleaning solution and 250ml of pre treatment solution. Lovely long cable thats not stiff at all. Easy to set up and use. Lounge carpet free of dirt and staines in an instant, and unlike my older vax it sucked most of the fluid back out of the carpet......yak brown. So it drian really quick. Obviously your use may vary as a lot depends on your carpeting. Only down side for me is it seemed a little louder than the old one but it is more powerful.

So far so good. Excellent machine. I find it easy to operate, refulill and dispose of the dirty water. Assembly is straight forward. Cleaning the head with brushes is easy enough, undo the 7 screws as indicated by arrows on the bottom of the head, then perhaps another optional two screws to loose the spray head and you have perfect access to get all the accumulated fluff out. Reassemble and ready to go again. I have also purchased 2 additional drive belts, just in case to have no downtime. £4 for two from of them.It is also very satisfying to use the carpet cleaner, almost therapeutic I would say. The build quality is adequate to the price and perfectly sufficient.I follow the manufacturer's instructions to have one more run with clean water to rinse the detergent out of the carpet.

I have 4 large dogs and carpet which is not a good combination. :) I bought this machine and I was amazed by how nicely it cleaned the carpet. I mostly used the hose bit as to me it feels more effective. Downside is that I had to empty the dirty water and fill in with clean water multiply times, which is time consuming. Also not sure if its normal, but despite carefully attaching the tanks and all parts it’s leaking a bit at the back of the machine. It is pretty noisy though, would not like to spend a whole day using it. :)Also not sure yet whats the best way of cleaning the bottom as dog hair stuck inside. My overall feedback is its a great machine for the price.

The carpet cleaner is easy to use. It makes a good job of cleaning the carpets removing stains & leaving them nice & fresh.

Before you even switch this machine on to use it, you will notice that the carrying handle is just about the most sensibly positioned you've ever encountered, which means that the height of the machine was considered. Engineers have always considered that simplicity is synonymous with ingenuity, and its true. This little VAX doesn't have pumps, venturis and turbo this or that, it works on gravity for goodness sake. What could be simpler or more reliable than gravity? 10/10 for that.If you push this machine forward, it cleans your carpet twice, if you pull it back over the same spot, it will have scrubbed your carpet clean four times. If you release the cleaning agent as you push it forward, it leaves the liquid in the carpet to soak. If you pull it back, it scrubs and removes the liquid as it goes.Unlike some other machines, it doesn't skimp on the cleaning agent, but it holds about 3-litres and will cover approximately 500 square feet, just over 152 square metres per filling. The instruction manual gives the user quite a few good tips too.I have a very old professional vacuum cleaner, designed for hotels and the like. It sucks the carpet off the floor and then flays the life out of it. I have a Labrador dog that moults like there's no tomorrow, especially in the heat of summer, brush it, bath it, do what you will ... it still moults. You can vacuum your carpet all day long, but this little VAX will still fill its 'chops' with animal fur. From this respect, whilst you may consider your home truly clean, the VAX may prove otherwise.Animal smells disappear from the floor and you only need to wash the cushion covers and furniture covers to complete the job to a truly immaculate standard.This VAX does such a good job, it. will make you feel really proud of your home and even husbands like using this machine, because it makes them feel useful, they having made a difference.In this instance, I think VAX have got just about everything right, the price, the quality, the reliability, its being simple to use, clean and care for, notwithstanding the ergonomics. Don't spend a fortune, this little machine will serve you well, believe me.The kids love it, as they can play with the water, the bubbles and pull a lever ... and they stay clean too. Under supervision, they won't come to any harm. Highly recommended for family use, especially where tiny tots are crawling around on the floor most of their waking hours. Stay clean, stay healthy is what I say.Yes ... a sensible product designed by sensible people. I don't work for this company, I'm retired and have been for many years. I'm simply gob-smacked by this little machine i.e. one which I can actually afford. My carpets get an extraordinary amount of wear, what with kids traipsing mud in from the garden, the dog going bananas, not to mention the numerous accidents with cup spillage. Since owning this machine, you would never believe I had any visitors. You won't be disappointed with this product. VAX have done me proud, and I'm truly grateful.

The media could not be loaded. It cleaned the cream rug extremely well. Got all the stains up and the rug looks brand new.HOWEVER, the machine is so flimsy that the head is so light it doesn't apply enough pressure to suck up any water. I used 3 full tanks of clean water to clean the rug and barely got 1/4 of a tank of dirty water out. I even had to resort to getting on my hands and knees in order to put pressure on the head to suck up ad much water as possible.As a result the rug is absolutely soaked through! I've had a dehumidier going all night and it's still so wet that it is starting to stink badly of damp.The base also leaks as other reviews said.The head is an absolute nightmare to clean too. You have to take 7 screws out each time you want to clean the rollers.I've now returned and had to order a shark for double the price in order to attempt to save the rug and suck up all the extra water left.Update: This has absolutely ruined my rug! I've had to get a professional in to clean and attempt to save. The water stuck in the carpet has made my home absolutely stink!! Avoid!

50% good because it cleans the carpet very well. There are some drying issues though. I advise to use it in summer time when weather is hot/warm. It worked well for 2 years.50% no good coz it kept breaking down. Roller brush seized and Replaced, belt broke 3 times and replaced 3 times. Belt not aligned properly is major issue coz if belt breaks its useless. Motor is absolutely fine. They might need to tweak belt system design etc.

I don't tend to wash my carpets that often as I don't have a pet and slippers are worn in the house, but so far it appears to work okay and was cheaper than getting professional cleaners.
