3K Full Carbon Fiber Bicycle 1-1/8" Headset Top Cap Stem Cover MTB Bike Part

Well, it is as you'd expect, light & stiff but the problem I ultimately have with this little guy is the fact that it has a very long.. "neck" for a word. The hole that takes the bolt downward is very deep and thus often mates with the top of the your star nut / compression plug unless you use quite alot of spacers to raise the top cap above the compression plug. Usually too much by my liking.While I don't recommend this, I found success in simply cutting the excess cone off, leaving plenty of material for structure and convenience at the same time.

I ordered this because it has the same weave pattern as my headset spacers and seatpost and it looks great. For such a small component, it is still obviously lighter than the aluminium one it replaces. Every gram counts on a road bike, right.

Pretty poor quality. Lots of flaws in the finish which makes it look pretty ropey.

Looks cool on my mtb would recommend for and my fellow mtbers. Put some style on mtb then this is right for anyone who wants style.
