Niederegger | Marzipan Black Forest Torte 185g

Oh My Goodness it was delicious ! If you're a marzipan lover, as I am, you're gonna love this. Smooth dark chocolate, a thick layer of tasty jammy stuff, and high quality marzipan. Admittedly it was quite small, about 5" in diameter, but quite thick, and to me, worth it. You pay for quality, and bought for me instead of an Easter egg. Will definitely buy again. I've also tried the Niederegger marzipan loaf assortments, and they were amazing too. But this is my out and out favourite, and can't wait to buy more. In fact I've just eaten the last bit, and my finger is already hovering over the 'buy with one click' button. You like marzipan ? You'll love this .......

This item is very small really but very good too. Pros: - This item is for marzipan lovers made by possibly the best German marzipan products manufacturer - Very nice as a present - Amazing taste - Very high almond content - Protein rich Cons: - Small - Quite expensive Overall verdict: Recommended for marzipan fans or as a special gift, but quickly gone. Leaves an aftertaste of wanting to buy a second one ;-)

It isn't clear from the information given that this 'cake' is very small. It is also expensive. However, if you love good quality marzipan, you'll apreciate that the almonds used to make this aren't cheap. It's a very nice sweetmeat but don't (like I did) expect a cake-sized item - it is not. Everyone will get a small slice... except me.

Really really really really tasty - lovely marzipan - and a good price - especially compared to other products in this brand - certainly hits the marzipan chocolate spot

This “torte” has a rich, luxurious, mouth-filling feel. Basically it’s a marzipan base with dollop of cherry liqeur jam, all covered by thick dark chocolate, produced by an outfit in Germany. A small piece with a cup of coffee is delicious. As befits it’s premium price it is well presented in its box and arrived in good condition. The first time you get it you will be taken aback by its small size relative to the price. Nevertheless, as in so much of life, you get what you pay for, and this is a really nice treat.

Was expecting a birthday-cake sized cake and this is in a box about 13 x13 cm so the actual 'torte' must be even smaller than that. My fault, I should have checked the small print when ordering. Bought as a present, hopefully the recipient will see the funny side and enjoy this rather expensive indulgence, even though It's too small to share with us!

Perfectly pleasant taste but this is a large sweet not a torte. Much better to buy a packet of Anton Berg. I know the size is in the small print but the photograph and description is highly misleading . At the price, this item is terrible value.

Stunning...I ordered 2 and glad I did. I figured they would be on the smaller side. I love Marzipan anything and this did not disappoint. The best! Packages arrived from Germany 💝 I just ordered 2 more! 😊 I'm bringing 1 to family for the Holiday and the other 2 I ordered I will savor and keep for myself, okay maybe the other I'll keep as something to serve for company or a gift...maybe 😉 So far it's all as described with the Cherry jam with a hint of liquer(not overpowering at all, it's subtle). It's beautiful and perfect looking. I can definitely see this on a charcuterie board...Beautiful box as well. So far the 2 I received on 2 different dates arrived in perfect condition. The dark chocolate is crisp and the perfect amount. The ratio from dark chocolate to black cherry jam, hint of liquer to marzipan is just right in my opinion. Maybe with others that had issue it's the time of year its purchased? I can see this melting during hot summer days/tainting layers and not looking like the picture. Id still eat it and enjoy it though but thats me. If im not gifting or serving id even consider melting it a little in the microwave. This would make a wonderful gift or to bring for a dessert spread. I'll update as I open and receive the others if there are any issues but so far 2 are perfect👍 (it's been on the colder side where I am) I have no complaints and definitely would buy again- (I just did lol) Fresh, crunchy exterior with a soft,somewhat moist interior of marzipan with a nice little layer of delicious cherry jam. Literally as it looks on the box and pictures advertised. Serves 6 but it's easy to eat a little extra than a serving😋 💕

Excellent Marzipan, très qualitatif et un goût inégalable avec la touche de cerise. Je recommande aux adeptes du marzipan !
