I have been using this product for 20 years, after it was first recommended by a fancy coiffeur in Brussels. It will not kill your hair with heat like the electric version, but the metal plates and the brush will do straightening and de-frizzing with a little bit of the hairdryer on it. It also speeds up the drying process considerably. It is easy to handle, and well manufactured.

I am so glad to have stumbled on this little gem of a tool. I am someone who has a hard time using a blow dryer and a round brush. It takes me forever and I finally give up. This brush helps keep hair exactly where I want it and it helps with drying my hair frizz free and straight. Can dry & straighten my hair in less than 20 minutes.

This is the best brush I have ever used! I have waist length wavy hair of medium thickness and I do not like a round brush because I tend to get my hair tangled in it. I get much better results with this brush, no breakage and not as many lost hair. My old brush, which was identical, broke after 7 years of use.I semi dry my hair, use a straightening product and then use this brush on sections of hair to finish the hairstyle. I have more curl at the root and I have never found another brush that straightens it quite as well. I am able to have the end curl just slightly by positioning it right. I do not need a flat iron after I have used it. This makes my hair sleek and shiny, most importantly, it looks natural and retains bounce. Not lifeless like with a flat iron.For the times I do use a flat iron, I use this brush to guide the iron. It gets all the hair straight and I do not have to use the flat iron multiple times on the same section. Totally recommend!

Now, this is an awesome brush for my fine/coarse hair and does not stress it out like another brand I purchased. The bristles are soft, but if you have thicker hair, you may need harder bristles. But works great for me. I had to give it 4 stars, because this is my second brush. It broke in half. Because I like it so much, my daughter bought me another one immediately after. I use caution and take my time, but the plastic is a little skeptical, but I truly like it. :-/

I hated this brush. I ended up trashing it or returning it. I found it useless. I got a much smoother look using my round bristle brush. I hoped it would have the same results for me that using a flat iron would have, but it didn't work for my hair. I am African American with hair that frizzes and that I perm every few months so I don't lose so much hair and my hair is more manageable. I think this brush is more for people with straight or just wavy hair. Not really for people with kinky hair. This product didn't work for me, but it might work for you. Part of my problem is that I found it harder to use than a round bristle brush. I have used round bristle brushed for as long as I can remember, so readjusting to this brush was touch for me.

I really wanted to love this brush, sadly I don't :( I expected it to cut down my hair drying/straightening time as a replacement to a round brush but unfortunately, it actually increased my work. To no fault of the seller. Back to twisting a roller brush for hours...UPDATE:Found a new use for this thing and that makes me happy. Its actually a really good tool for holding hair in place when you're trimming hair! The bristles and grip are good, but it would be nice if there was some type of flip clip attachment to hold the two ends together to ease the stress of pressure on my hand, and also to make storing it easier since it springs open

A friend told me about this brush, I saw it on Amazon and am not disappointed. It's a good help with my flat iron, it gives my hair a more bouncy, silky sheen.
