Battery life could be improved otherwise a good product

This battery pack is a good purchase not only for power backup but I think makes the device look quite smart. Its weighty and the build quality is good. Setup couldn't be simpler and it just works. Not exactly a budget buy but that's the only negative thing I have to say about it.After fully charging it I ran my Dot on battery for a couple of hours before reconnecting. Its claimed they will give up to five hours but I suppose that depends on what you are doing with it.Overall I'm very happy with the battery base and recommend it to anyone with a Dot.

I bought two of these for two Echo Dot's we have. I needed battery support for my bathroom Echo. I did have great expectations but I wasn't surprised at being let down once again. The good points, the connection to Echo is simple, charging port is easy to plug in, it looks neat and works well. However, there is only a 5000mAh battery in the base which lasts max 3 hours, there's enough room in the base for a battery twice that size! It also takes an age to charge. If I put my Echo on the fully charged base in the morning and don't use it all day by the following morning the battery is dead. So standby is about fifteen hours as stated.It could have been so much better. Anyway I've managed to get a charger cable into the bathroom with a 12v extension from Amazon and it now works as I'd hoped. So I managed to get a small victory from the jaws of defeat once again.

A brilliant little device which is easy to set up, is great in that it enables me to move my echo around with me.

The battery base is a nice size and shape. It’s very easy to set up. Its ideal for times when you’re listening to music or a podcast etc and need to switch rooms - you can simply transport your Echo Dot to your other rooms without interrupting your listening, which is fantastic.However, you cannot switch it off! So every time you unplug it, the battery runs to zero and you have to recharge from scratch! It also has a fairly bright, blue light which glows while it is holding charge, which is annoying in a dark room.It’s ideal if you have your Echo Dot plugged in permanently, so the battery base is always ready to use (apart from the annoying blue light constantly glowing). If you unplug your Echo Dot at night, you’ve got a blue light glowing for hours overnight and your battery base will be discharged and useless until recharged. To me, it seems logical to have an ‘off’ button on the battery base.

Bought this for my elderly mother-in-law as she injured herself in the bathroom one day and was trapped for hours, so as she was used to using an echo dot and could make a phonecall from it if needed, we needed a solution so we could have an echo dot in the bathroom and not need to worry about cables etc.So we bought another echo dot and this battery base unit so she could use the echo dot to call us for help if she gets stuck again, great idea at the time, but this battery base battery lifespan was shockingly little in reality! At full charge, and not even using the echo dot for anything, it still completely drained the charge in this base unit in less than a day!Making this completely and utterly useless!I would have thought even if the echo dot is not used for anything at all, that we would get at least a few days to a week of standby time, but less than 24h is terrible!On top of that, the charging time on this is ridiculous, it takes just as long to charge it as it does for it to discharge without even using it, it takes hours to charge it, for such a tiny amount of output!This has to be one of the worst battery backup devices ever made, it's almost as if its using battery technology from 20 years ago!But we're stuck with this thing now as too much time went past before we first used it so can't return it, so it's just become an expensive stand for the echo dot!

Alexa loves her stand. Very durable. Great, long battery life. Very easy to install. Looks good, unobtrusive. Great value for money. It doesn't affect the sound quality of Alexa.

Me gustó la base inalámbrica, tengo 1 año usándola y no he tenido problemas. La bateria la uso por las noches y dura de las 11 pm hasta las 9 am aprox, dependiendo cuánto se use en ese lapso.

Fonctionne parfaitement.Je regrette cependant qu'il ne soit pas possible de fixer l'ECHO DOT 5 sur ce socle ce qui faciliterait le déplacement de l'ensemble par une personne très âgée.Le déplacement de l'enceinte connectée seule est bien évidemment possible mais nécessite de déplacer aussi l'alimentation et de la connecter, vu qu'elle est habituellement branchée sur le socle.Les connexions de l'alimentation sur ECHO DOT ou sur le socle, et de l'enceinte sur le socle ne sont pas très faciles pour une personne très âgée et mal-voyante !
