Bright Starts Safari Beats Musical Drum Toy with Lights, Ages 3 months +

I ordered this for my 4 month old daughter as noticed she recently started to bash at the buttons on her other toys (she's still to young to press them with her fingers) so I wanted something she could operate on her own and I have to say I am not disappointed. The unit is just the right size to place in front of her to reach and with the drumming pads being large and easy to press, it's perfect for her to be able to play with herself. There are two modes that play different music and either react wit drum or animal sounds, depending on the setting, when the pads are pressed which also light up at the same time. Even when not being being physically played with there's a great light/sound show to attract the baby's attention which can be great for even younger babies to just be able to enjoy watching while you play with them, even though the packing recommends age 3+ month, you could still entertain younger infants with this product, I sit mine between my legs as she not able to sit upright on her own just yet, and imagine it will entertain babies a lot older than this too so the value for money is worth the investment. Another point I like about this toy is the compact size and carry handle which means it is easy to take out and about with you so you can keep you little one/s entertained on the go. Most definitely worth a buy!

This is a nice little toy. It has two modes drum and music. The drum mode makes a drum noise when you hit it accompanied by music, the other is just music and jungle sounds. I have a five month old prem boy and he really enjoys it. He's learning cause and reaction and working out you do have to hit it in order for it to work. The lights are really entertaining for a young one and entice him to play with the toy. He loves using his feet so he kicks it aswell and it seems to withstand him no probs. Only thing I would say is it is quite loud with no volume setting. Easy to clean and transport. Came with batteries already in it and ready to use.

My granddaughter loves this little drum toy. It lights up and plays lots of different sounds.

This is a good toy for younger children. It was bought as my daughter's first toy which she found very exciting. She did however get bored of it fairly quickly, as she was only around 4 months old at the time she found it hard to push the buttons but enjoyed watching us and the lights.Now she is 8 months old she has been really enjoying bashing all the buttons, even with her feet! She has learnt to move the slider to change between drums and animal noises.I would say the downsides are that their is always a tune playing in the background when they push the buttons and the lights are very very bright, that we don't let her play with them on the evening as it's almost blinding!It comes with batteries and we are yet to change them, so that's great!Overall a fun little toy for youngsters.

Good quality, easy for tiny fingers soft and safe. Bought for my two year old nephew when he showed signs of loving music and dancing.

My 9 month old loves this. Has no problem slamming her hands on it and watches with glee as it lights up and plays music. I think it's better than the larger singular drums as it's nice and low for a young one to bang on and it lights up well.

My baby grandson has one of these and I thought it would make a suitable gift for a friend’s son with visual impairment. The buttons are big and chunky for little Janis and do not need to be pressed too hard. The volume is adjustable and the range of tunes can be altered too. The lights glow beautifully and in tune with the music.

There is no volume control on this toy. However this is a lovely, musical toy, with a variety of sounds. And lights up. Is very entertaining.
