Will this produce all the high gain sounds that i am after when plugged into the clean channel of my fender champion 100. i also use an eq boost pedal

Yes, using a clean channel on your amp it gives excellent brown sounds of numerous VH eras. I returned mine though as the dirty channel on my blackstar HT5R sounded just about the same

Does it clean up when you roll the volume back on your guitar?

The short answer is yes, depending on where you have the Gain/Output set on the Overdrive and how you’ve set up your Amp.

Does anyone know if it sounds like the 5150 amp, i know thats the purpose but how close are we to the amp?

I dont have a 5150 amp so my only comparison is listening to the tone of eddie's playing whilst he was using his. {obviously you probably would'nt buy this pedal is you had a 5150 amp} My opinion is, if youre playing a guitar with a bridge humbucker its very close to that tone evh used. My set up is a clean amp into an overdrive pedal, (just breaking up), and then into the 5150 pedal. Guitar i'm using is a prestige ibanez. I'm really happy with the 5150 pedal, which is a good thing because they aint cheap! Hope this helps dude
