This didn't work for me at all (in fact I think it looks worse) so has anyone any other tips as to how to remove green mould spots from a 10year old black soft-top? Thanks.

I have a 10 year old Saab Converible and I use a product called Milton. It is a product sold to steralise baby equipment and is widely available in chemists and supermarkets. Apply neat with a paint brush or spray bottle and leave it. You won't notice a difference immediately, however after about 3 weeks the top looks as good as new without any further treatment.

I do not know the specific answer but I would think there is a good chance due to how detergents work but it would also depend upon the oil that caused the stain. If you apply the cleaners as instructed and then use a very stiff brush to work it in, then leave it for 30 minutes to an hour before using a high pressure washer to remove the detergent. I use this approach and it cleans the roof very well. You do need a good dry day so that you can apply the water proofer once the roof is dry and before there is any rain or have the luxury of a garage you can get the car into. Sorry this is not a guarantee just a suggestion based upon my experience with the product, I hope it helps.
