Fantastic sanding/shaping tool for wood
I have used these cutting wheels for a long time and think they are one of the most useful of bits to go with my rotary tool. They do get blunt eventually as everything does but you do get a lot of use if you are reasonably considerate. Great for speedily cutting out tired/cracked filler on external wooden window joints, ready to refill with fresh. Much cheaper here than my local DIY store, and super quick delivery. Definitely recommended.

Dremel SC544 Wood utting Wheel
Tried this product as soon as I got it..like a kid with a new toy. This wood cutting wheel is very effective if you do not force/ put pressure on the blade. It will cut like a knife through soft butter if you use the right speed and work with a steady hand as you cut through the wood. Handles straight cuts and can also be used for making pockets in wood as you can cut both down or forward with this blade. Might be a bit costly but it is worth it as the quality of the product is far better than other wood cutting wheels. Handy to change over to another accessory with the easy speed click mandrel. Make sure to unplug or take out the battery before changing wheel to avoid hurting yourself. Always work safe.

nice little luxury
Found this much more pleasant to cut wood with than some of the other discs (which can be rather smoky), and the SpeedClic thing feels satisfyingly opulent, though I'm not convinced it's any faster than just switching mandrels. £12 seems a lot for one little disc, though it did cut through my sister's fence like a hot spoon through ice-cream.

Very good
Works excellently whether they are genuine Dremel or not.

Cuts through wood easily and without the risk of jamming or kicking back.
Works really well. Unlike more conventional mini saw blades, this one doesn't stick and bind, which makes it easier and safer to use. At first sight I had reservations about the design re durability, and also the type of mounting, but having used it now a few times, I feel completely comfortable with both aspects and highly recommend it. N.B. it doesn't come with a SpeedClic arbor, which you will need. Having had two previous mini rotary tools made by other manufacturers that have come with rubbish tools, some being downright dangerous, I now appreciate the quality of Dremel equipment - which is not the cheapest, but imo, by far the best and safest to use.

Great item.
Expensive for a Dremel blade compared to other Dremel discs. However cuts laminate/ wood flooring brilliantly and surprisingly tough for a little item on a Dremel. Also found it useful for chasing out sockets on plasterboard with much less dust given off compared to a multitool. Will definitely buy another when this wears out.

Buy an oscillating multi tool instead?
It is a functional cut off wheel. A bit awkward to use at 90 degrees from the Dremel but it works okay if you already have a Dremel, have under £15 to spend, and want to make tiny cuts sideways into small woodworking projects. Handy on occasion... but it is hard to not conclude that Dremel bits and their tools are quite pricey and perhaps limited vs alternatives. I don't use this much as an oscillating multitool with cheaper generic bits that will cut and sand wood and metal more quickly and safely. Battery angle grinders (/cut off wheels) and jigsaws or circular saws are of more use for DIY work than a rotary Dremel for cutting, unless you're doing very small scale model work. I'm a dentist so quite used to using rotary tools on small things. it's exceedingly rare to see the connection wear out on a dental drill (thankfully!). Quite surprising how quickly the connection wears out on the shank of my Dremel 8220 tool and how often I have had to replace chucks/collets. The battery life on Dremel tools is limited due to the small size (maybe for dexterity) and spare batteries are pretty expensive for the amp hours they offer. I think other solutions are probably better than buying more dremel stuff.
