Fantastic screen, even though not ideal, but which one is? I have not noticed any issues others are mentioning. You HAVE TO SEE IT to believe it. If you have not worked on 40/43 inch screen before, there's nothing to compare. I can't imagine going back to anything smaller or to two screens. Apart from daily email, media consumption and document typing, I also use it for video and photo editing. I love how I can have my whole video or photo app laid out in a way that I can see the whole photo/video and can access all the tools I need without switching between screens or windows, etc. Ability to see the photo in various sizes is priceless. Some features are pros and cons at the same time - depending on what you need. - Movies? It's an experience and a half. Like in the cinema or better! - MS Excel? Awesome area of coverage! - Multi window work? Just brilliant - all on one screen - no more switching. Combined with Windows 10 multi desktops, just awesome! - 60Hz 4K - works! - IPS uniformity - it's here, but far from perfect - read below. - USB ports at the back - maybe useful one day. - Menus - really easy to use and navigate, even though not ideal, but compared to other products, really good. - Smudges and fingerprints not visible while the screen is on. Only when off. - Built in loudspeakers are a good bonus, but are rubbish for music as you can expect at this price point. Great for the night when you don't want to wake others up with the bass as there is none :-) Works great with all scaling from 100 to 400%. I set it to 125% as 100% was a bit too difficult on the eyes (even though usable), and %150 removes too much of the screen's real estate. If sharpness is, however, the most important aspect for you, you'll love it at 150 or 200%. Cons: - glossy screen - it's great for the looks, but it may create too much of a reflection if you have lots of light around. I have a window in front of me, so not an issue. - IPS uniformity - it's much better than non IPS screens, for sure, but there is a clear difference between looking at the screen straight and at an angle - but maybe that's typical to all IPS screens - it can't be ideal, but much better than other screens, which is important for photo and video editing. If colour/brightness uniformity is critical for you, this screen is not for you. For most people it will be great or at least good enough, though. - does not work with with Windows screen off mode after screen saver finishes - it keeps coming back to life. Not a huge deal, but annoying. (Edit: screen saver works ok after I disconnected the USB hub - although I can live without it, it's a shame that USB hub does not allow the screensaver to kick in) - screen burn out - I have only seen it once in the last few months that I've had it, and it quickly disappeared, so not a big deal. (Edit: I don't think there is any screen burn out - just an illusion, I think. More tests required, but since that's no issue now I won't be testing it). Edit: To make text look clear I used ClearType and chose the "thick" texts. Also, I experimented with MacType (great software, but not well developed), but that has issues of its own, so now I stick to ClearType only, although MacType gives better results. It's beyond me why Microsoft insist that their font display is great instead fixing it once and for all. That is the only thing I envy Mac users. All in all, incredible value for the price. DO NOT be put off by the size - you'll come to love it the first day! All my friends who come to visit me immediately want to have one too! What else can I tell you? Kamil

The picture is great at my full arm length. I can see the entire screen, with a huge amount of context available to tasks I am working on. I raised it up about 20cm on a monitor arm - allowing me to use the space under it for books, pads and cats. It is my main monitor now despite the annoyances below. I change PCs that I am working with regularly - linux dev, windows tools, testing target,... around it goes. If the machine I am moving to has gone to sleep, the monitor will not select its output until it has woken up. This slows changes down quite a lot - as I spend time navigating the input menu - multiple times per change of task. Frustration as the monitor refuses to select the input I want because the video is not hot yet... And I exit the menu to try again.. When I need to modify the bios or hardware setup of the test box it is unacceptably bad - the monitor will not stay on the box while it reboots - so if I used only this monitor, I would have to navigate the boot into the bios blind. missing any messages about hardware from the bios. Instead I keep a second screen on the desk to use when doing this sort of thing. The 43-inch monitor was supposed to replace 3 monitors, but this refusal to stick on the selected input by the monitor spoilt that plan. This miss-feature, selecting the input by the video cable with a signal, rather than following the users choice, makes the monitor awkward to use in a fluid way.

Bought for office use for 3D design software. Happy with the purchase and the price paid, and finding that it is significantly improving productivity due to having so much screen real estate in front of me. (It’s great with AutoCAD and Revit.) After a couple of days the size feels normal and other monitors look tiny. However, it’s by no means the perfect monitor. At this size, 4K resolution is acceptable but not overly generous. There is some pixelation evident when viewing details. (Roll on 8k!) Ghosting is a real problem for this monitor. I set my screen background to grey, and was finding that when windows were closed it would leave a significant ghost image behind. Problem solved by changing my screen background to a different colour, but this is poor. While not a gamer, the general performance of this product makes me think that it wouldn’t be ideal for this use. The little joystick on the lower right hand rear edge of the monitor that controls all functions is not intuitive to use. This is not a major issue for me as once the monitor is set up I tend not to fiddle with it. However, if you need multiple inputs, then it might be a deal breaker. In terms of quality, there were no dead pixels and it feels as robust as a typical TV of this size. No height adjustment, which I would have liked, but couldn’t find any other half decent monitors of this size and price point that came with this feature. Would I recommend? Yes, screen size has won me over and the shortcomings are minor in terms of livability and productivity. But, go in with eyes open about the performance issues in case the limitations of this monitor would rule it out for you.

I recently picked this monitor up, and I don't have a comparison point to compare it against other 4k monitors, so if you're looking to know which 4k monitor to buy, I probably can't help you. That said, for my needs, this thing is a godsend. 4k resolution is amazing for anyone that does serious computer work. I'm a programmer by trade, and this thing is equivalent to 4 20 inch 1080p displays. It allows me to view so much more at a glance, rather than flipping around applications. It may seem a small thing, but if you're tired or anxious, not having to flip though apps to find data really helps. If you're considering the jump from 1920x1080 to 4k, I highly recommend it. While I don't have a comparison point for this monitor, I can say that I am very happy with it. It seems to do its job well.

Using this as a PC monitor. Text is reasonably legible at 4K resolution depending on the program you are using, some web pages need to be enlarged (ctrl+keypad plus sign). Large white blob just to the right of center when working with documents, less of a problem when gaming but still noticeable. *** This item is shipped from France, so you will be facing import duties and taxes amounting to around $400. *** Sound is good so it works well for PC or TV use, but it doesn't come with a remote so you will need to get one unless your cable/satellite one has universal remote functionality.

Ich verwende diesen Bildschirm als Fernseher-Ersatz und bin sehr zufrieden. Versand: Er wurde gut verpackt zugeschickt und hatte keinerlei Beschädigungen. Nach dem Auspacken musste man nur mehr die Standbeine anschrauben und schon konnte damit ferngesehen werden. (habe die Standbeine inzwischen gegen eine VESA Halterung getauscht, ging problemlos und erlaubt jetzt auch eine Höhen- und Winkeleinstellung des Bildschirms) Qualität: Die Verarbeitung wirkt sehr wertig und es wackelt nichts. Der kleine Steuerknopf auf der Hinterseite, der die Menüsteuerung erlaubt, ist ein bisschen fummelig, wirkt aber nicht, als ob er filigran wäre. Allgemein: Die Reaktionszeit des Panels ist sehr gut, kein Vergleich zu dem Philips-Fernseher den ich davor hatte. Das merkt man vor allem bei schnellen Spielen auf der XBox oder am PC. Wobei ich hier sagen muss: die XBox und der Bildschirm vertragen sich von Haus aus nicht so gut. Hatte einige Zeit der Einstellung benötigt um ein akzeptables Bild (bzgl Helligkeit und Farben) zu erhalten. Komischerweise war dieses Problem nur auf die XBox beschränkt und ist weder beim PC, noch der Switch oder dem Blu-Ray-Player aufgetreten. Aber nach einigen Anpassungen und Farbeinstellungen (am Fernseher wie auch der XBox - z.B. aktivieren von PC-RGB usw.) passt es nun auch hier. Das Bild: Das Bild ist von den Farben her prächtig und leuchtend, hier steht es einem Fernseher (ausser in der maximalen Helligkeit) in Nichts nach. Wenn der Bildschirm auf rein Schwarz schaltet sind im Randbereich schwache leichte Höfe zu erkennen, aber nichts das ein Fernsehvergnügen trüben würde oder gar bei der Bilddarstellung auffallen würde. Zum Sound: Hier kann ich leider nichts dazu sagen, da mein Sound immer über einen AV-Receiver ausgegeben wird. Fazit: Ein sehr guter und vor allem preiswerter Bildschirm, der wie gesagt auch einen Fernseher würdig vertreten kann. Praktisch ist, dass man nicht mehr vergessen kann, den Fernseher auszuschalten, da er es nun ganz automatisch macht. Update (28.8.2018) Ich habe den "Fernseher" nun über 7 Monate im Einsatz und bin noch immer begeistert davon. Sehr praktisch ist, dass man keine Fernbedienung braucht, da er sich ja automatisch abschaltet, wenn keine Bildquelle verfügbar ist. Zum Einbrenneffekt: Es kommt, wenn man für längere Zeit (z.B. so >15 Minuten) ein Standbild lässt zu einem "Einbrenn-Effekt". Dieser Effekt verschwindet jedoch nach sehr kurzer Zeit (5-10sec), wenn sich das Bild wieder bewegt und fällt auch bei Vorhandensein nur auf wirklich schwarzem Hintergrund auf. Also für mich kein Grund einen Stern abzuziehen. Wenn man den Bildschirm hauptsächlich am PC verwendet, kann es jedoch wahrscheinlich als störend empfunden werden. Update (16.05.2019) Ich habe den Bildschirm jetzt seit geraumer Zeit in täglicher Nutzung. Ich bin nach wie vor von dem Bild begeistert. Ich konnte nun auch den Sound ausgiebig testen, da mein PC nun direkt an den Bildschirm angeschlossen ist: Es gibt hier absolut nichts zu bemängeln. Natürlich wirkt der Sound gegen meine Dolby 7.1 Anlage sehr mickrig und blass, aber für die Größe der Boxen ist er absolut OK. Ich habe mich schon oft dabei ertappt für PC-Spiele aber auch Serien oder kurze Clips gar nicht erst die Anlage einschalten zu wollen, da der Fernseher auch einen durchaus guten Sound liefert - das soll schon was heißen ;)! Einbrenneffekt: Ich habe in letzter Zeit sehr viel MMORPG gespielt (Diese Spiele haben einige HUD-Icons immer auf der gleichen Stelle) und ich habe bisher keinen permanenten Einbrenneffekt beobachtet. Wenn das Bild auf schwarz wechselt, sieht man die Symbole noch für ein paar Sekunden (2-5) und dann verschwinden sie vollends, bei farbigen Bildern konnte ich bisher nichts störendes bemerken. Ich kann das Gerät nach wie vor nur bedingungslos empfehlen!

Vorab ein wichtiger Punkt - die miese B-Note: Die Eingangsports stehen ab Werk auf DP 1.2 und HDMI 1.X. Damit läuft der in 4K mit 30 Hz. Wichtig ist also, dafür zu sorgen, dass das Ausgangsgerät mindestens HDMI 2.0 kann, denn nur auf dem HDMI Eingang - den man im Menü selbst auf 2.0 stellen muss - lässt sich der Bildschirm in 4K mit 60Hz betreiben. Über das interne Menü - kommt man mit dem Mini-Stick an der Rückseite hin - Einstellung, Ports, HDMI - auf 2.0 stellen, ist fummelig. 30Hz sind murksig. Auf dem Displayport geht nur max 1.4 einzustellen und damit nicht mehr als 30Hz in 4K - eine Lösung wäre ein DP-zu HDMI Kabel, welches nicht bei liegt. Ansonsten liegen ein DP Kabel und ein HDMI Kabel dabei. Das sind aber die ersten 5 Minuten nach dem Aufstellen, wenn alles eingestellt ist, geht an das das Herumspielen. Das Bild ist extrem hoch aufgelöst, scharf bis in die Ecken, aufgrund der Größe wird das Bild natürlich durch den Hintergrund beeinflusst, es ist halbwegs entspiegelt, aber wenn im Hintergrund ein weißes von der Sonne angestrahltes Regal steht, gibt das einen weißen Fleck auf dem Bildschirm. Office, Textverarbeitung, Tabellen - die kann man für halbblinde extrem groß ziehen oder locker 4 Seiten auf einem Bildschirm in gut lesbarer Größe darstellen. Der Bürocomputer sollte aber einen HDMI 2.0 Ausgang haben, für 60Hz, den haben die meisten nicht. Deshalb sieht das Bild bei Bürocomputern eher "scheiße" aus. 30Hz nimmt das Zockerauge als deutlich unruhig wahr und es flimmert. Selbst wenn ein Auge "nur" eine Frequenz von unter 30 Bildern pro Sekunde hat - man sieht das. Besonders bei weißen Flächen, die wirken unruhig und strengen das Auge an. Eine Gforce GTX1050ti gibt es für kleines Geld, die passt in jeden Bürorechner und hat eine HDMI 2.x Ausgabe, die 60Hz bei 4K auf HDMI zulässt. (Mein Tipp). Die 4 in 1 Funktion konnte ich mangels 4 Quellen nicht ausprobieren, will ich auch nicht. Fotos sehen in 4K viel besser aus, als in HD. Filme sehen in 4K auch viel besser aus, als in HD. 4K Gaming: Wenn man das Glück hat, einen PC zu haben, der 4K Gaming unterstützt (GForce GTX 1080ti) dann ist man mit diesem Bildschirm mitten drin und im Grenzbereich zur Motion Sickness, die man sonst nur von 3d Brillen kennt. Man hat ein riesen Bild vor sich und taucht so voll in ein Spiel ein und sieht nichts mehr sonst. Natürlich sind 60Hz auch max. 60fps und nicht 100, wie bei dedizierten Spielemonitoren, die sind aber eher breit und nicht hoch. Wenn man jetzt aber mal nen Flugsimulator spielt, ist das Bild hier - da volle 4K und 2160 Punkten auf der Y-Achse viel höher und man sieht einfach mehr im Spiel. Mein Motto ist dann, lieber einen Gegner mit 60fps noch sehen und verfolgen, als mit 100fps nicht mehr sehen und abgeknallt werden. Außerdem ist dieser Monitor hier preislich auch günstiger, als die teuren dedizierten Gaming Monitore.

Der Monitor wurde als allgemeiner Monitor über eine DELL Thunderbolt DOCK TB16 von einem Notebook xps-15-9550 aus betrieben (diese Kombination verrichtet den Dienst noch immer, aktuell mit einem Ersatzmonitor und mehreren angeschlossenen Laufwerken auch im LAN/WLAN). Der Monitor hat insofern, mit allen üblichen Programmen, von AUTODESK, ADOBE, COREL,MICROSOFT-Anwendungen jeglicher Art inkl. Peripherie vom DVD-Laufwerk bis Drucker, prinzipiell gut funktioniert. (Und dies in Ultra HD Auflösung, sowohl mit im Streaming Modus beim Empfang von Fernsehsendungen über einen Web-Browser, wie auch bei der Nutzung als Standard Monitor bei ausgeschaltetem eigenen Monitor des Laptops). Helligkeit, Farben und Kontrast waren entsprechend der Notebook Konfiguration gut kontrollierbar. Überdies war die Ausstattung des Monitors mit Schnittstellen und Lautsprecher seinerzeit Grund für die Beschaffung. Das Notebook ist dabei ausgestattet mit einem leistungsstarken SSD Laufwerk und entsprechend großem Arbeitsspeicher, alles unter WIN10. Der Monitor hat letztendlich lediglich 3 Jahre funktioniert. sollte aber meiner Meinung nach wenigstens über 5-6 Jahre seiner Abschreibungszeit funktionieren, möglichst länger, deshalb die Abschläge bei der Gesamtbewertung. Ich empfinde diese wichtigste Eigenschaft (Die dürftige Gesamtbetriebszeit) als höchst ärgerlichen Umstand.
