I ordered this product so that my wife could support herself while showering. The product looked good on arrival but it came with no instructions. It is meant to be installed in a shower - a wet area - but there was no sealant or washers and no advice on how to waterproof the installation. There are two locking bolts, one for each end but they are hidden behind the mounting brackets which made it difficult to tighten while lining up the fixing holes on the bracket. Fortunately, I have some DIY skills and was able to install the bar using silicon sealant to seal the screw holes but the installation would be difficult for someone without that knowledge.

Nice finish. Very sturdy. Looks great mounted on an oak backing plate before attaching to the wall. Very pleased.

I bought this to replace an existing garb handle which is 12 inches between the centres of the fixings. This one describes itself as 12 inch but is only 11 inches between centres. Very disappointing since it will not cover the previous holes.
