STRICTLY BEDS&BUNKS Avalon Midi Sleeper Cabin Bed, 3ft Single

I was a little dubious about buying a bed from Amazon... especially one that only cost the price of this bed.....well I didn't have to be worried at all. Promt courteous delivery....and the bed is absolutely fantastic! the finish is excellent. Its seems strong and sturdy. I bought this for my 13 year old, 5ft. 5ins son. It looks like there is plenty of growing room for him. Im very very impressed with this bed, So much so that I'm thinking of buying another one for my daughter and I have have sent pictures of the bed to all my family and friends who have children. It's absolutely genius in that, it's not too high (So that changing the bed sheets is made difficult) but high enough to be practical and store things underneath. It's raw pine. I was worried about splinters and sharp edges... but so far ..i have seen none. I have some wood varnish that I'll use to coat it at some point, but for now I'm enjoying the raw/natural look of the bed. I may update this review in 6 months or so after my son has really tested it! Oh.. and it didn't take ages to put up. About an hr with 2 people... or one skilful one! Update!!!! 10th Feb 2019...My son has had this bed for some time now. It started squeaking every time he moved on it. And he would jump out of it instead of using the ladder as he is now so tall, he's 15. So I tightened up all the screws and...get this...cut off a foot and a half off the legs so he can climb in and out without the ladder! I removed the safety bar and now my son as a very lovely 'daybed'! It's strong and sturdy like the first day I bought it! It's really lasted the test! Very very impressed! Will be varnishing it over the summer holidays.

The timescale for delivery was affected by Covid-19 so I won’t judge that part of the process. The bed arrived well packaged. The instructions were ok, all the pieces were present. Assembly is fairly straightforward but does take a few hours. The bed is very sturdy and I think (as does my daughter) that it looks great. The price is excellent- real value for money. I will definitely consider buying from this company in future.

Really good sturdy bed and that easy to put together. The company are really good with messages and giving a good rough idea of when items are being delivered which is fantastic. The only thing that let it down is the delivery man didn't take it into the room where the bed is going and left it downstairs. He carried in one of the boxes but gave the other one to my Mum who has just recovered from an operation, so his idea of heavy was very different to hers. Other than that a great company and would definitely look again if I wanted another bed and would reccomend to friends and family.

This bed is very high quality for the price comes with everything needed including very detailed instructions once build this bed is solid and is so much better then others as has extra thick legs highly recommend this bed and company 5 stars

Amazing bed. Rock solid. Can't fault the wood quality and appearance, and the overall bed. It was so comfortable to sleep on. Obviously this is due mainly to the mattress however a sturdy bed does help. It was a little awkward to put together and the instructions were a bit bad. I have done hardly any DIY in my life, however. It would have been better if they had numbered the parts and then matched them to the numbered parts having been assembled like you have on some DIY items so someone like myself can see where everything goes. For someone that knows what they are doing, you should be fine. We will be purchasing more, as the high sleepers are perfect for saving floor space, and of the quality and appearance of this is anything to go by, they will be perfect for our other rooms. Have one happy little boy.

Put this together today for my 5 year old, although it's recommended that you have two people to build it, I managed it by myself. It did take me 4 hours mind! The instructions are a bit strange - using bad quality photographs instead of diagrams - and some of the way it's been written doesn't help. Finally managed it though and it looks great! Positives : Sturdy , Nice appearance. Negatives : instructions, extra screws and bolts which weren't listed on the instructions (which makes things confusing). All in all it's a nice bed, looks decent, time will tell!

Nice quality Pine and a good sturdy bed. However.....assembling it took 3 people around 3 hours! You have to do some hole drilling of your own and hope that you have been supplied the correct screws. We had way too many of some screws and NONE of some others. Luckily, we have a good stock of our own. One other disappointment was that no ladder rungs were supplied. We’ve contacted the supplier for them and “they’re on their way”. We shall see...!? Overall, a very good bed....once you’ve been through quite an ordeal getting it built!!

Bought 2 of these beds now and another one ordered. These beds are fantastic and easy to put up with easy instructions. The bed comes in one parcel which you have to assemble from scratch. This you may think is a bad thing, but to be honest, its fantastic and very easy to do and the instructions are just as easy. The first bed took me just over an hour to put up by myself and the second was just as quick. When delivered the guy was friendly and took the time to answer any questions i had too, i would recommend these beds and this company to anyone.
