Swatch Men's Analogue Quartz Watch with Plastic Strap – GB743

I love these basic watches that do exactly what a watch should and look good too. I used to buy the Casio version but have now switched to this marginally more expensive but better designed model. The only downsides are the strap which can catch on things and break apart, and the face can scratch. But hey, they're cheap enough to replace every so often, and the old one can always be used to hang on the wall somewhere.

After having had a couple of fitness-style digital watches and before that no watch at all for several years, it is so good to have the simple pleasure of a real watch again. I can't fault this model; it's clean and simple in design, gives day and date, and the hands are luminous so you can read the time in the dark. The strap is plastic and will presumably need replacing eventually but I think you can do this yourself if you want. Changing the battery looks as though it will be very simple. What more can I say?

Modern classic of cheap, well-made watches. Having previously had one of the Rebels that died on me and a few other watches in between, fancied another value Swatch watch.First impressions was it was a tad small, at least compared to my previous Swatch. Male with medium-to-large wrists, does look a bit disproportionate, would probably put it more in the 'uni-sex' category than straight-up 'mens' section, which typically cover the larger faced watches.Otherwise, styling's great. The lettering's fantastically clear, ironically the cheaper Casio uses a more Helvetica (Swiss) like font, but much prefer the look of this, plus the Day-Date's very clear. Yet to scratch it, so it's already beating my prefer Swatch, whether that's by luck or better casing, I'm not sure. But holding up well so far.

I bought this watch for everyday use as it was under £25 and I remember having a similar one over twenty years ago!I must say that the time keeping is superb. I've had it for a couple of months now and it hasn't lost a second. It's comfortable to wear, and is a pleasure to fall into a river wihout worrying about damaging it. No issues with adjusting the date, it's a doddle once you know what you're doing. (It can only go in and out, round and round!)Would definately recommend.

It's the third one of these I've had in 20 years - core watch is excellent value, but the rubber strap is already coming apart just a few weeks after delivery - hence the lower overall rating.

Perfect size and fit . Some people wrote they can hear it ticking . With background noise you can't hear it .The only time you hear it is if your sat in silence and how often does that happen . I take it off in bed so again I can't hear the ticking . It is not an issue at all . Looks good , feels good and a good price . 10/10 , I will stick with swatches in the future now . A nice clear good size watch face .

I bought this watch as a reasonable-looking watch to wear on holiday. It looks good and is waterproof, but I was disappointed with the strap, which looks cheap and flimsy. My fears were well-founded, as two days into my holiday the thin plastic buckle has snapped so I will have to return it as soon as I get back off my holiday. I won't be requesting a replacement!

This easy to read dial with time and date is now my fifth of the same watch design, with easy to change strap pins. Wear this more often than my Rolex. This Swatch takes a battering at times and comes through unscathed. This simple faced watch is my daily reliable time piece. Keep it in production, please.
