Hanging
Currently hanging our egg chair from the ceiling. I didn't use the screws provided as I was putting it into roof beams... but the turning on the chain is seamless. Very happy with it.

Fantastic product. I have 2 of these. One for a Perspex bubble chair and one for a factory double sided clock. They are solid, chunky, robust and above all safe! Buy without hesitation!

Fab hook, I bought this to go with a hammock chair, easily fixed to wooden beam, has full range of movement.

This would only really be useful on a solid concrete ceiling or one with very ...
The plate with the screw holes is too large to screw into a house roof joist, at least in our house! Ended up buying a simpler longer fixing with 4 holes in a line. This would only really be useful on a solid concrete ceiling or one with very wide beams. No wood screws are supplied.

A little disappointed
I ordered the Amazonas Power Hook on 29th August. Delivery estimate was 3 Sep 2012 - 14 Sep 2012. When it hadn't arrived by 16 Sep, I emailed the seller (Hammock Heaven, My Pashmina or Laminvale Ltd - you choose) to ask where it was. They replied that they suspected that they had a rogue postie, as they had 3 orders despatched on the same date - all not yet arrived. They estimated redelivery on 19 Sep and it arrived on 21 Sep. Many thanks for the prompt redelivery.When I opened the package and started to read the instructions, the first line that I read stated, "Only for use in concrete". The safety instructions stated that you should, "Only use Power Hook screws and dowels provided in concrete". Well, we've all got concrete ceilings haven't we?The safety instructions also state that the, "Power Hook has been constructed for hanging chairs. You can sit down in it comfortably and rotate, but you must not swing". None of this information is included in the Product Description on the Amazon website.In conclusion, it would appear that the Amazonas Power Hook is not really suited for use sitting, gently swinging in your hanging chair from the ceiling of your run-of-the-mill house. However, should the worse come to the worse and you find yourself alone in a nuclear bunker contemplating suicide by hanging, this is the product for you!
