Godefroy Dark Brown Instant Eyebrow Tint

I usually forget to review products because I think you should try them for a while before giving opinion, by which time I usually forget to do so. However, I am so impressed with this product that I have come back to do so! I have now used this product twice. It is brilliant.One application truly lasts the full 6 weeks (and more) as claimed on the pack. It is really easy to apply, takes a few minutes and the results are instantaneous. My eyebrows were getting grey (I'm 50) and I had to use a lot of eyebrow pencil to look 'normal'.I don't have to do that anymore, the colour is lovely and I now have colour 24/7 without a pencil. Use a little vaseline under your brows, mix up the powder from a capsule with developer in the cup provided with the stick provided and apply - 2 minutes later - outstanding results that lasts at least the 6 weeks as promised. It comes with 4 capsules of colour (for 4 different applications, 6 weeks or so apart) a bottle of developer, sticks to mix it up and to apply the mixture and little cup to mix up in. Follow instructions though because I understand it is dangerous if you get it in your eyes- so NO WAY is it suitable for lashes- eyebrows ONLY!!!!. But it is a thick paste - so unlikely to drip in my view and I have had no drips at all. If I had to be critical, I would say that there is 4 applications in a pack (so about 6 months supply) - and I only use half of the made up capsule in each case - shame they couldn't split the powder into smaller capsules then one pack would last a year! Maybe it is possible to use half a capsule - the developer that you mix it with is in a bigger bottle so you can use as much as you need - might try to use half a capsule next time! Having said that, it is likely that there is extra left over because when you take the mixture off after the 1-2 minutes developing time, if you are not happy with the result you can reapply the already mixed product for another minute or so until you are happy rather than have to make up a new supply. I haven't had to do this, which is why I have a lot of mixed product wasted, so to speak. In any case, this is great value for money, easy, not messy and a fraction of salon prices. Highly recommended.

I'm torn writing this review as this product is, on one hand, amazing and has a lovely result. On the other hand, it is fiddly and lasts more like 2 weeks rather than 6. In terms of cost, it is obviously way cheaper than a salon. Each box has 3 applications and the tint initially lasts a good week then starts to fade over the following week. I have found I need to redo this every two weeks to keep a good strong colour. However, I would say this is the same with a salon result to not really disappointing as such, just normal for eyebrow tint. The application IS VERY FIDDLY! I find the capsule really hard to open without losing some of the powder inside. I feel it should twist apart but you have to sort of pull the two ends without the powder flying everywhere. Once you have done that you squeeze the cream in. It is hard to get the correct amount and, if you put too much in, you will run out and not have enough for the remaining two capsules. It would be easier if they hard three sachets of cream rather than one tube. Then the mixing, it really doesn't mix easily. I find I am stirring this tiny pot of mixture and the powder and cream just don't want to join together. When it eventually does, that is the difficult part done. Pop it on your brows, wait only a few mins and wipe away. Eyebrows sorted! At the minute, this product does have the result I want and I haven't found another product that has such a professional colour. So despite the fiddly nature of the application/mixing, I am continuing to buy this. If the price went up significantly then I would definitely look for a different one.

I have mixed feelings about this product. There is no doubt that it colours, and quickly, but it is quite fiddly, and doesn't last more than a few weeks. It comes with the dye element in powder form in little capsule tablet-like containers. The idea is you separate the two halves of these tablets and the powder comes out. I am on my second box of this product and I have never managed to get one of these tablets to open. I end up cutting the top off, which is fine, but just be aware, scissors are necessary and take care to tap all of the powder into one end first. Mixing is easy - there is a little pot supplied, and application is easy if you have any experience of this sort of thing. If not, use one of the orange sticks provided for application and have a practice with some Vaseline. Best to try this first as one thing I will say about this product - it works quick. Very quick. If you use it and make a mistake, you need to wipe it off/correct the mistake super quick else you will have a strange looking brow. One minute was enough for my eyebrows - no more. Then it wipes off and the results are good. They last a few weeks - would like longer, but I keep using this product.

My wife ordered this and thinks it does a better job than getting her eyebrows done professionally. Saves a lot of money too. For medium brown wipe it off fast as works quick.

Dark brown!!! This is my second time trying this product

I like it, it works very good but too expensive now, I bought the same before for $11.00.

I love it when a quality product lets you accomplish a salon service at home so you can save time and money. The instructions are simple to follow and the results last a long time (I go six or seven weeks between using it to fill in light and sparse areas). I recommend you only do one eyebrow at a time and set a timer so that you don't end up with a darker brow than you expect. If it's not dark enough after the first application, one capsule provides enough product to colour both brows twice so you get the colour depth just right. Remove stray hairs and shape your brows a bit before you start. I definitely use a Q-tip to put a little vaseline outline around my brows before I start, to avoid any staining outside of the brow line. I have blonde hair, and find that 1 minute and 20 seconds is perfect to get a nice contrast (but not too dark) for my brows. That said, I generally find that it looks a bit darker for the first 2 or 3 days, and then it's perfect for 6 or 7 weeks. The first time you tint your own brows I wouldn't recommend doing it on the same day as a special event (just in case it's a tiny bit darker than you like). But once you've done it a couple of times you will know exactly how much time you need to get the perfect colour depth for your preference. Interestingly enough, I only bought this the first time because I had a bad tinting experience at a salon and walked out looking like a toddler had taken a black magic marker to my face! Afterwards, when my husband saw me he sort of froze and then couldn't help himself from busting out laughing .... I knew it was bad too, but that really confirmed it! We both had a good laugh and then I went into hiding and lived in big sunglasses for a few days to hide my Magic Marker Brows, and I learned that valuable lesson that if you want something done right, sometimes it's best to just trust yourself to do it! Now I don't need to go back to a salon - this product is perfect! Try it and save yourself the time and expense of having your tinting done at a salon.
