Binatone Latitude 150 Pink Twin Pack Walkie Talkie With Upto 3 km Range

Bought these a xmas gift for a child.Had looked at buying them a previous year for xmas from smyths toy shop but decided to wait until another time, which meant I ended up buying them from amazon.They look like picture.I choose them as Binatone make phones and I thought they would be good.Love they are pink as for a girl.They are really good and fun.They both sit in same charger.Have only used in house so far so don't know the full range they will work in.Have once heard someone elses voice through them as we must have picked up on someones signal, bit eery and funny.I would highly recommend.Have bought cheap toy walkie talkies once that didn't work half as good and not for long.These are a good price too.Definitely worth it.

Daughter is super-happy.Range is ok, whole house and garden easily, but by the time you leave the house and cross the road to go to the shops, the reception starts to go. Surprised to see quotes of several km range- perhaps if both people are in the wide flat open?Sometimes pick up police, but just change channel. Friend in the forces thought they were excellent. No comment on the colour though.

These are high quality walkie talkies & I'm glad we opted for these over the cheaper character branded versions that get interference at any major distance. Im sure these will continue to get use for years to come both from a fun toy perspective & a practical communication device between house & garden. We have a large garden yet can talk across these easily & audibly, we have yet to test the claimed distance (i can't remember it exactly now but it's kms I think) but in our garden they work really well so I've little doubt that this claim is accurate.We are a buy to last household so if you are similar you won't be disappointed in these whether it is for kids fun or for any other reason you might need a walkie talkie!

I'm undecided about whether these we're a good purchase. They keep switching channels involuntarily so I need to reset them to the same channel so they talk to eachother. I didn't bother reading the instructions, since they're just a toy, so I'm not sure whether this is supposed to happen. The good bits are when they're set to the same channel, they work brilliantly and the re-chargeable facility means that they are used a lot by my children, albeit with my assistance to set them to the right channels. They haven't actually run out of battery despite a few hours of being off the charger, so I would say that they keep enough charge for the time they're required by my 2 daughters. I think the kids would need to be 4+ as they need to understand that they have to hold the button down whilst they talk... Or maybe my 3 year old needs to listen better?

I purchased these as a Christmas present for my seven year old daughter. She loves them! The quality is very good, they are robust and well made. A real bonus is that they are rechargeable and come with a convenient charger cradle that hold both hand sets. The radio range is truly phenomenal, something like 3.5km in the right conditions! You may have to change channels a few times to avoid picking up local mini-cabs but there are 10 channels so not a problem. Highly recommended and loads of fun for children of all ages.

I purchased these walkie talkies for our two daughters aged 4 and 8. They absolutely love them and the long range - which I tested with one of the walkie talkies by seeing how far I could go - is amazing! I would say though that you have to make sure that 'TX' displays when the PTT button on the side is pressed down - I spent a few minutes trying to figure out why they appeared not to be transmitting). However, the instructions are clear enough and the machines are perfect. The girls and I really enjoy using them.

The children loved these. Worked well but got a shock when they heard someone else's voice coming through, need to be supervised using these.

clear voice quality .. I have tested the range and it does not work more than 300 metres and not 3 - 5 miles as written on the product.. good for kids to play with. I would have returned but my kid had thrown away the pack!!
