This is a must buy pedal!
I have recently moved from a huge pedal board and a Marshall amp to rack effects and a Mesa boogie and prior to this I had been using Bias on my iPad in the house! I had been using a tubescreamer in the App to get that extra saturation and breadth of tone out of the Mark IV sim. True to form I bought this pedal and the amp behaved exactly the same. Using the pedal It has brightened it up, added extra girth to the tone and that extra saturation I was after so I can turn the gain down on the amp and therefore retain more of the overall sound! Although I mainly use this as s boost pedal (volume up full and gain at 0) I have tried it on my clean channel as a gain/OD pedal and it provides a lovely crunchy bluesy sound! The mesa already has a mid boost but this provides something extra. The pedal feels very well built and will last and really is very small. It is worth every penny and I would buy again in a heartbeat!

Good overdrive, classic in a small box!!
Really good pedal. It's tiny and sounds good. Not as heavy as I expected, I've other Tubescreamer clones that's sound a lot more driven... But as a way of bruising up a clean tone it's great, really bluesy and good for a lift in chorus etc without ripping your face off!! I've not really tried this to boost my OD channel, my amp is a monster already, but on a fender or similar I can see this adding a lot of weight to your tone.. If your looking for a subtle od pedal, buy it.

Does what it say on tin. Its a tubescreamer ...
Does what it say on tin. Its a tubescreamer minus the batt compartment which sounds exactly the same as the normal size tubescreamer. The only thing that i did not appreciate is that the "tone' and "level" knobs are all black with no mark to indicate what level or tone i am in... i have resolved this my by just painting over the indented line with a white colour marker.. hope that made sense.

Definitive overdrive.
Light to medium gain overdrive pedal. Basic controls (Tone, Volume, Overdrive) adequate to give a reasonably broad spectrum of sounds. Handy compact size. Does colour the tone-(mid boost and bass cut), though this does usually sit well in the mix. Works fine as a clean boost- ("volume" up, "overdrive" down), and as a standalone overdrive through a clean amp or adding grit to an already slightly overdriven amp. As a clean boost, it works well both in front of the amp and in the effects loop. Essential extra for any guitarist.

Classic sounds in a tiny pedal
Great pedal, in a small bedroom friendly size, perfect for recreating those late 80s and early 90s rock sounds. Two of the dials are fiddly and impossible to read due to being so incredibly small and having no marker to tell what they are set to, so this isn't suited for gigs. Otherwise it's a superb bit of kit.

Once used you cannot do without
Everything you have heard about coupling a Tube Screamer with a valve amp or stacking it with a high gain pedal into a clean channel is true. It drives what it goes into harder for a more saturated gain but remains tight and smooth in its response. It makes playing legato so much easier as engaging the pedal on a low gain setting into an amp or pedal on a high gain setting just adds 'more' of what is already there. A very user friendly pedal that spices up your gain without turning it ugly or inarticulate. Advice - order one, try it stacked with your existing gain you will not part with it once you have done this. However send it back If you don't get the results expected, first though consider whether you need to upgrade your main source of gain as a Tube Screamer will not make a bad pedal or amp sound good. It needs a good base set up to interact with and then it really shines. If you do not have any means of gain already in your setup and are looking for overdrive or distortion I suggest the Tube Screamer alone may not be right for you unless you only want quite a low gain sound. It really comes into its own driving already driven sounds into full saturation. Cliche though it may be believe the hype. The Tube Screamer really does make your existing gain sound and respond better.

what better than a Tube Screamer in a mini package?
Very useful especially when you power it with external power. Sound is excellent but the layout is a bit confusing.

Great pedal Great tone Great addition
This small version of the classic is just a great pedal. It works well with others on my board. It can add just a little crunch, subtle or more serious bite, crisp or bluesy distortion. It adds body to my tone. Either before or after other distortion pedals it adds something. Both for lead work (great tone for standing out in a band set up) and chording. (Are you looking for that Bryan Adams Run to You or Summer of 69 crunch?) It also works great going direct into my DAW for home recording (no amp involved) and that is unusual for stompboxes. Humbucking or single coil pick ups equally as good.g I have a myriad of pedals but this one is always on my board. For not much lay out of cash either, its a must have.

Ottimo pedale. Soddisfacente dell'articolo come da descrizione. Arrivato nei tempi previsti. Comparabili e simile al Ts9. Comodissimo per ottimizzare spazio in pedaliera. Consigliato.

There in't much i can say about the Tube Screamer that hasn't been said already, so I'll stick to sharing my personal experience and how I use this pedal. Where this has helped me the most, is to cut through a mix while playing with others or while improvising solos over a backing track. In order to achieve that, I keep the drive at minimum and tone at maximum. I set the volume to unity gain. The other useful application is to get a classic, edge-of-breakup blues tone. For this, I roll-back the tone to around 3 o'clock and set the drive at 9 o'clock. This also pairs well with all of my other pedals - drives, silicon fuzz, uni-vibe and chorus.
