Perfect gaming cpu
Excellent core, Updated my old AMD FX8350 to this and the performance is great and paired with a Corsair h110i gt 280mm I was able to crank 4.6Ghz.I use this PC mainly for gaming and graphics editing, and am seeing great in game fps improvements when its paired with my Kfa2 980ti O'c edition, with fps always about 100/144 almost constantly on all current gen games, e.g (Witcher 3/ Fallout 4/BF4).In terms of editing in programs such as photoshop and sony vegas, it does excel.Overall I'd recommend this CPU and its the best one in its price bracket. If your looking at coming over from AMD then do it will not be disappointed. My fire strike score withe this GPU was 9533. once changed over to the i5 6600k and a Z170 gaming 7 msi mobo i got 1433. Not a bad upgrade.Pros:Low TDP for such a powerful cpuSingle-threadred performance kingEASILY OC over 4.2ghz with right setup to increase performanceCompatible with DDR4Comes with newbie friendly instructionsEASILY will last a 5/7 years without significant performance decrease.Cons:At £200+ you are paying for a premium quality product.Yet no stock cooler.Packaging seemed a bit 'cheap' considering what is inside.Make sure you purchase an after market CPU cooler to mount on this CHIP. I've got it matched up with a Corsair h110i gt, this idles at around 20-30c and gaming around 50c with an overclock at 4.6Ghz

I have overclocked this bad boy @4
Holy smokes! REVIEW AFTER 3 MONTHSA very fast i5 'K' skew processor. I have overclocked this bad boy @4.6ghz.PRO'S1. VERY FAST2. OVERCLOCKING CHAMP3. CAN RUN AAA TITLE GAMES WITH NO STRAIN, BUFFERING OR ANYTHING FOR THAT MATTER.4. THE INTEGRATED INTEL HD 530 GRAPHICS ARE AWESOME BELIEVE IT OR NOT. You can run games in LOW (Star Wars Battlefront 2015, FIFA 17, BATTLEFIELD 3, CALL OF DUTY 4: MODERN WARFARE) TO NAME A FEW..... at around 30fps which is not bad considering you don't need a separate GPU (GRAPHICS CARD).5. CLOSE TO i7 6700K performance.CON'S1. AS I MAKE YOUTUBE VIDEOS EDITING AND PROCESSING CAN TAKE IT'S TOLL. A VIDEO FILE TO MAKE A 1080P 60FPS VIDEO IT CAN TAKE SOME TIME ESPECIALLY IF THEY ARE 1 HOUR, 1/2 HOUR LONG.2. CAD SOFTWARE'S SOMETIMES TEND TO GLITCH OUT WHEN USING THEM. LIGHT CAD MIND YOU.3. NOT BEING AN i7 CPU, IT HAS NO HYPER THREADING FOR EXTREME EDITING, ANIMATION ETC... SO THIS WILL NOT BENEFIT YOU.4. LIVE STREAMING IS HARD ON THIS CPU. YOU CANNOT DO THIS AT 1080P 60FPS WITH A CONSTANT 60FPS.5. It COULD bottleneck some gpu's like the TITAN X, 980TI, TITAN XP, GTX 1080.Overall a wonderful CPU if you are going to upgrade to a 'K' Skew on a Z170 chipset. This will always be recommended.

Overclocked this on Air to 4.5Ghz. A total beast of a CPU.
OVERVIEWThis i5 6600k chip is similar in characteristics to its bigger brother the i7-6700 chip but without the hyper threading and a slower initial out the box speed and a tiny bit smaller cache, 6mb vs 8mb on the 6700k. However when overclocked these chips are almost as fast as their bigger brothers the I7. Please note that the K series processor do not come with any stock CPU cooler so you will ned to purchase this in addition. I recommend going for a Raijintek Aidos which has a 92mm fan and only £15 and spend a few pound on a descent CPU thermal paste such as Arctic Cooling MX-4 or the Arctic Silver 5CONTENTSprocessormanualstickerboxSPECThe motherboard I used with this was an Asrock Z170M-ITX/ac and a pair 8Gb G.SKILL TridentZ Series F4-3200C16D-16GTZ memory sticks and a raijintek Aido CPU heat sink, with this combo I was able to manually overclock to a stable overclock of 4.5 Ghz @ 1.305 volts 1 to 1 cache ratio. Which I think was very good for a standard 92mm air style CPU coolerOVERALThis was a total beast of a CPU. Pound for Pound you can not beat it. If you want a gaming PC then currently there is no better chip. All my gaming when paired with a GTX970 ran at max setting on 1080p. Stress testing with aida64 and Prime95 was done for a full 24 hours without fault.

best bang for the buck
amazing little cpu, upgraded from an amd fx 6300 and it was the best choice i ever made. performance increase in games was amazing especially one called arma 3 which is heavily cpu intensive. its overclocking capabilities are fantastic with low tdp and heat too as long as you have an aftermarket cooler ( note this cpu does not come with a cooler you will need to purchase one) if you are gaming pick the 6600k up if you like video and photo editing pickup the 6700k. overall if you are switching from amd to intel or just want an amazing performer for the price this product is the way to go

Good for gaming Would highly recommend
Good processor used for gaming. Its the top end i5 processor so perfect for gaming and is also overclockable. Does not come with a cooler. Intel now do this with all there k series CPU as realistically you are going to be over clocking it so need a non stock cooler. Been able to help me run all my games on ultra at 2k with 60+ fps with help from a GTX 1070 graphics card. Would highly recommend for gaming builds you don not really need to go any high than an i5 for a very good gaming build. Good for gaming builds around £1000 - £1200.

The best gaming performance achievable currently
Brilliant processor and very power efficient compared to AMD processors.Everything feels a lot snappier while browsing and gaming. The i5 6600k I received is an excellent overclocker and I have achieved a stable 5ghz using my custom loop water cooling setup.A minor criticism I have is the very bad thermal performance of the CPU when overclocking, unless you have really strong cooling solution, don't expect to overclock much past 4.6-4.7ghz unless you are very lucky.Overall I am very happy with the product, even if the price is a little high compared to the last gen Haswell i5 4690K which is only 5-10% slower but a decent amount cheaper.
