Does this mouse require a usb receiver?

Hi Paul, this mouse is a bluetooth mouse, which means that provided the computer you are using has bluetooth, no adapter is required. However if the computer you are using does not have bluetooth, you will need to buy a generic bluetooth receiver that works with the operating system you are using.Hope this helps :)

This mouse has an annoying feature that continually flips it into auto-scroll mode. Does anyone know how to turn this off on Windows 10?

When you press the scroll wheel on any mouse it goes into "auto scroll mode"... solution: don't press the scroll wheel down, rest your finger elsewhere !

Anyone used this with a MacBook Pro retina ?

Doesn't work with full function on Mac or Apple products. You can not take the DPI advantage and forward and backward side keys either on MacBook or apple products. This mouse is best for only Windows users.

will it work with my Samsung tab 2

I have no idea, because I do not have a Samsung Tab 2. I used to have a Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 (the original model that came out in late 1997) and I was able to use a Bluetooth mouse with that. So my guess is that you will succeed, but I cannot be sure. Certainly Android is far more permissive than iOS.
