Lovely finished result, however very thin paint
To start with the product was not well packaged and was open upon arrival.I gave the tin a shake to get the paint mixed, and it sounded very watery, Once I opened the product I gave it a good stir to see if it would thicken up a bit. But it was still very thin and runny. This was an issue when painting the small fiddly bits of the date as even the smallest amount of paint would run.I ended up leaving the lid off in the sun for an hour or so which thicken it slightly and rather than 'painting' it on I 'dabbed' it on like you would with a sponge. One coat is defiantly not thick enough, and I ended up doing 3 coats to get the desired result. The colour is lovely and looks really smart on my gates.overall I would recommend this paint as it gave a really nice finish, not sure about longevity but worth the money.

Great Paint
The media could not be loaded. I wanted to brighten up my lamp post, with some Victorian style painting as I had seen in the City of Bath. Did exactly what it said on the tin.

Good but a bit ‘green’
The paint is great quality - I used it with a small foam roller to brighten up a stone fountain in the garden. It’s been on for about four months now and looks as it did when I applied it and seems to be weather proof. The only issue I have with it is that it’s more green-toned than it looks in the pictures. I didn’t mind too much as it gives the fountain an aged look, but if you’re looking for a true gold colour, this isn’t it.

Excellent
Really good product. Paint thick to cover or brush out for antiqued look.Goes a long way as opposed to spray cans.Would point out though that it takes a lot longer to dry than it says.

151 brand, 180ml. Metallic Gold paint ? Nope! Is that green i see ?
If this is metallic gold paint... then it is the strangest colour of gold i have ever seen, it is more green than gold. Its shiny but not metallic gold, it has a very slight tiny hint of gold, more a dirty metallic high gloss bronzy green than anything else. I tried it with different primers underneath and it still comes out as a greenish hue with a tiny tiny miniscule hint of gold finish. I stirred the pot of paint for a very long time, 10 minutes.. to make sure contents thoroughly mixed, makes little difference. The people responsible for the manufacture of this paint at "VFM coatings (151 brand)" must be colour blind ! I suppose you get what you pay for, this is still overpriced for what it is supposed to be.Warning, this paint takes a long time to dry, i painted this stuff on a mirror (wife wanted a distressed finish type of look) 6 days ago, it is STILL TACKY and the smell is also overwhelming, make sure you have plenty of ventilation.Quote from TV show.. Blackadder.Blackadder : Yes, Percy, I don't want to be pedantic or anything, but the colour of gold is gold. That's why it's *called* gold. What you have discovered, if it has a name, is "green".Lord Percy : Oh, Edmund, can it be true, that I hold here in my mortal hand a nugget of purest green?
