Wonderful prodeuct at a great price. I made a mold for some small parts for ho slot car racing tires which are no longer available. Mold came out great but I did not use the mold release correctly when I cast the parts from the same silicone. I also let the parts sit in the mold overnight and they fused to the mold and I ended up ruining that batch. I re-made the mold and recast the parts, not letting the parts sit too long in the mold and they came out perfectly after about 3 hours setting time. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting to make molds and parts.

Great 1:1 by volume silicone system with 30A hardness and mixing was easy and was void free after degassing at 1750 microns. It has low enough viscosity that it poured easily into the small features I needed to recast a broken 3/4" diameter spur gear. Cure time was exceptional at just over 2 hours at room temperature. Tear strength is really good as it took about 50lbs of force to break a 1/8" thick section.

You know there were a few things that threw me off at first like on the first page of the instructions it says to sum up keep away from UV resin at all costs LOL and then on the next page it suggests using UV resin as it's perfect for the silicone so which is it will it melt and destroy the silicone or is it perfect for it little things like that shake my trust but obviously really run into any kind of issues sometimes it's a little sticky a little wet feeling still even after curing well just make sure then to leave those areas exposed to air for a little while longer and it'll work itself out it is still like a little sticky not to touch but it attracts lint dust even after cured properly something I haven't had issue with with other silicones long story short though this is still easily four stars is a great beginner silicone it did the job it did it well and actually allowed for my first successful recast of some very tricky parts all in all well worth the $20 I wouldn't give much more than that for it though to be honest once you start getting above that price point you open up the door to a lot of different options

Makes great molds and gives plenty of working time

Excellent as a mold material. Although cost prohibitive as a part for my project, the detail replication of this 30A is incredibly good. And the self-de-gassing is a beautiful thing. If cost is not an issue, trust Let's Resin 30A.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: The first lot that I used set within 5 minutes and was not able to use it. I reached out to the company about it and they were awesome. They had me send some info so that they check into it and they resent me a new batch to make up for what I had bought. The second batch was perfect. Will buy again for when I make my next mold.

Making the mold was easy, can be very sticky and hard to wash the stickiness but it does as advertised. If you plan on cutting through the mold it becomes way stickier and you cant just wait for the insides to become solid again it will stay that way. I recommend using gloves.
