The Buckingham XXL coop is a fair price for a very well made coop, the wood is smooth and well finished, all is treated against the weather and decay. Assembly was not too bad, Panels are dowelled and pilot holes are pre drilled to make life easy. it would be nice if the panels were marked with the same letter as in the plans as sorting which part is which takes the most time, the screw packs are all marked with the correct label making it easy to find the correct screw.The only part that did not fit correctly was the "eggbox" lid, when in position the hinges were 1/4" (4mm) away from the wall they were intended to be screwed to, we had to put a small piece of plywood between each hinge and the rear wall, so not too bad a problem. There were No damaged parts due to the excellent packing although the courier tried their utmost, the boxes were deeply cut and dented. Overall this is a nicely designed and made coop, we are using it for a run for 3 housebound Siamese cats and irs just the right size, a few carpet tiles in the nest box and up the ramp make it a bit more homely for them.

Product shown is not what arrived ..parts were missing so needed to return it.We realised the run you buy seperately...but there were not enough parts to make the coop.The box it arrived in was stuck with sellotape as if it had been returned before...not impressed with the quality.UPDATE....there were 2 boxes ..on 2 different vans they got seperated and delivered next day...it was difficult to read instructions but is assembled now.It would have been nice to have known to expect 2 boxes....so yes its here now but we are wary about ordering again .

This is very flimsy made & run only hooked together which makes it very difficult to keep square. Roof bit iffy, pull out tray a nightmare to build and far to small for any hens. Leave it alone is my advice. Very expensive mistake.

An adequate product, but wood forming the run is flimsy and I cannot see it surviving in excess of 2 seasons. Before assembly I treated both run and coop. Easy to access coop to clean. Assembly for the most part easy and only took 45 mins to put together. Only mistake I made was that I put the run door panel on the the wrong way round. Essential that it goes on the correct way in order to fix the coop door slide handle on. For extra security I have put padlocks onto all doors and to coop lid to discourage foxes. Screws securing the support arm to the coop lid will come away if the coop lid is raised too quickly. Cannot re-home screws into original position in lid as screws will be loose. Best way to avoid this is to raise lid slowly in the first place, or increase screw diameter and use wood glue. The run is not big enough to accommodate 4 chickens but our 4 have made our garden their empire and are perfectly happy..

The media could not be loaded. Very well made and in my opinion, worth the money. I took my time putting this together as instructions was not the easiest to understand. I was slightly worried as the garden slabs are a little uneven but the weight of the coop and run ment it settled nicely. Although I am a first time chicken owner I am experienced at keeping birds outside and am aware of predators. I have no concerns with this coop if keeping it on a solid floor.

The run is a bit poorly built with split corners, split wood and even a screw poking out, the roof of the nesting box would only get the hinge to within an inch of where it needed to be attached and needed to be cut to fit, which I would not expect to have to do with a run of this price, I could have bought cheaper but expected this to be better quality. Overall the run is OK after the repairs and adjustments to get it built. The pics do make it look bigger than it is its quite narrow and although the hide and nesting box are big enough for 2 birds I'd be more inclined to just have 1 as there isn't that much room in the run, luckily mine get the garden for enrichment most of the day.

Bought this coop to bring young chick's up. It was well packed up for delivery and no items were missing. Great size, easy to put together, every thing fit great but I did have to move the hinges for the nest box compartment. Some of the screws were too short in my opinion so I used some of my longer and stronger screws but that was not a problem to me. Would recommend for a first time coop.

The wood was split and sliding tray was broken upon unboxing , had to improvise and screw together , also hinges on laying box had to be moved from original location to allow the lid to be opened, all in all not very impressed with this
