Superb. Every guitar should have them - mine all do! Now updated to work with Gibsons.
Every guitar in my collection is fitted with Schaller straplocks, and every guitar I build is supplied with them. That's how much I rate these. I have NEVER had a guitar fall off a strap with Schaller locks. Yes, you need to put the locks on the strap too, so each guitar has its own strap. Big deal. Each guitar hangs differently, so mine all have their own strap anyway. This S-Lock version of the Straplock button eliminates the separate screw and has a larger diameter thread than the old version. This makes it a direct replacement for the stock button on recent Gibsons, which uses a fatter screw than most. It is screwed in with the supplied Allen key so chewing up the screw head, or slipping and scratching the finish is a thing of the past. The strap part is also improved, with a neater nut and integral washer which is less prone to undoing itself - not that any of mine ever did. I'm reviewing the chrome version here, which was a perfect match for the hardware on my 2013 SG Tribute. Gold and nickel finishes are also available. Considering how much a headstock repair costs (and I know EXACTLY how much it costs because I'm a guitar repairer), these straplocks are great value. Buy them, fit them, forget there was ever another way of attaching the strap. This is the ONLY way of securing a strap.

Perfect for your precious instruments.
Perfect for when you need to go through double leather on your strap. These straplocks are easy to fit and you only need your fingers to tighten them. They also have a tiny screw to lock the mechanism. I was pleased to get them in a small card box, much more eco friendly than yet more plastic. Yes these are more expensive than most, but well worth it imho.

Massive upgrade
This new version of the classic Schaller straplock is superb. I've been using the older ones since the dawn of time and have stupidly recently used some of the lookey likee's available online. Fine, until at the end of a gig last week I had a total failure of a replica unit. Fortunately it broke in the "lock" position, so 2.5k of bass didn't faceplant on the stage, but awkward all the same. The main shaft sheared and if it hadn't been for a drummer with a pair of pliers, I wouldn't have got the bass back in its case. These new locks are mechanically and visually stunning. They are compatible with the old buttons, but work without the big washer on the strap and have an integrated, allen-keyed screw within the button. I bought two sets and my only regret is not to have bought more..... Great product and very good service!

solid brand
I've used guitar strap locks from this company for over 20 years. As usual, they are very well manufactured but I did find that these were just not quite as easy to get the strap on and off for some reason. It just seems that the mechanism gets a bit stuck but maybe that was just my particular set.

Much improved design over the previous!
There isn't a whole lot to say about this product. What is its value? It's value is the same as your guitar with the old style strap buttons. £200? £1000? £25,000? (Yes, it can be that high) The value of this product is intrinsically linked to your guitar, it'll stop the strap wearing out and slipping off the strap buttons, saving on repair bills and dings/dents/chips. Ease of use? Anyone with a screw driver can fit these, replace the old strap button fitments with the ones included, and put the strap locks on the strap. Improvements over the old design? So, these are held in with nuts that are thumb screwed in rather than the old spanner compatible nut making fitment much easier. Additionally, they don't have the old ball on the end connected to a bolt (You used to lift the ball and it'd unlock the strap from the guitar). I've lost plenty of these little balls, never again! It's a great product and a must for live artists or folks that just want to protect their guitar from accidental strap slippage. I have these on all of my guitars, literally.

I love these
I put these on all my guitars. Work well. No more worry of the strap popping off mid song.

Best strap locks available
Excellent strap locks, fitted to two of my more expensive guitars. Feel that I could swing on these all day long without them failing. Just note that they are no longer supplied in the plastic case anymore and are now packed in a small cardboard box.

Reggi cinghia di ottima qualità. Li uso su tutti i miei strumenti. Già il modello precedente era buono, questi sono ottimo. Anche se un po costosi ne vale la pena. Prezzo di vendita Amazon ineguagliabile.

Beautifully crafted and well made and does the job. FYI, the screws diameter are larger than typical strap buttons.

THE de-facto standard for guitar straplocks, the nuts with grub screws prevent the strap parts from coming loose, which sometimes happened with the older style Schaller straplocks.
