Having read the reviews on a number of options to address the task or bleeding my brakes on my Boardman Pro I opted for this kit and happy to say it did the job perfectly. The syringes and components all seem well made and of high quality and the price was at least half that of the "suggested" kit i use and a quarter of the cost i was quoted at my local cycle shop for them to do it for me. The difficult part is the process of bleeding which if its your first time can seem a little complex, however this would be the same process with whatever kit you buy and the instructions enclosed are word perfect, if you can read and want to do it yourself this kit is the perfect solution for you, and saves your hard earned dosh in the process.

I had to send my original purchase back after one of the bleed nipple/screws was missing. I’m pretty confident I didn’t lose this myself, so make sure you check you have all the bits before getting the brakes ready for bleeding. When I got my replacement kit (thanks Amazon), I managed to bleed my brakes effectively. I found the instructions to be a bit rubbish, so ended up following some more detailed videos on YouTube for my specific brake levers/calipers. All in all, the kit fitted the brakes well and did the job effectively.

So easy to use with such easy instructions to follow and without taking my wheel off, i watched loads of YouTube videos and they just make you do so many steps that are not needed just stick to instructions. So much better for the money the only difference with this cheaper bleeding kit is it doesn't say Avid on the syringes and you get free oil with this kit, i saved myself over £50 in buying the kit and over £50 doing the bleeding myself which a child could do in my opinion. Do it yourself don't go to your local branch of (Hal) con artist's who wanted so much £ for me to find out they was on the make an i fixed all myself no thanks to (Half). I would definitely recommend these kits an don't be afraid to do it yourself

Throw the torx bit in the bin as it snapped easily. The 5.1 fluid was useless as never got pressure in brakes with it after a bunch of bleeds, had to buy padgid motor car brake fluid 5.1 £6 for 1L unlike the cycling ripoffs charging £10 for 100ml . The rest of the kit seem good, but like all cycling equipment over priced for the small amount of cheap parts included

Everything needed to bleed the old Avid Elixir CR brakes. Adapters fitted perfectly. Cheaper than taking to a bike shop to do.

Did the job. For Code brakes, I needed a different fitting for the syringe , that fortunately I had from a universal set. Otherwise ok.

I've been doing a lot of bike riding recently and rear brakes got a bit squidgy so I knew I needed to get them bled. ] Getting a bike shop to do it would be slightly quicker (although a wait time) and potentially a lot less messy but the cost of this DIY kit was half of what one of my local bike shops charged and others were even charging more. This kit will also bleed front and bank brakes two to three times each. Watched a few youtube videos prior to doing the job myself and this made things much easier. Really happy with this and price was spot on

Ich habe mir das Avid Bleed Kit & DOT 5.1 Brake Fluid entschieden, weil das orginal Produkt von Avid mir einfach zu teuer war. Zum Produkt kann ich nur sagen Top Preis/-Leistungsverhältnis, gute Bremsflüssigkeit, die Spritzen funktionieren gut und bleiben auch bei hohem Unterdruck dicht. Außerdem ist im Lieferumfang sogar der "Klotz", den man zum Blockieren der Bremszylinder benötigt enthalten.

Fonctionne très bien même si c'est pas du haut de gamme. Cela m'a permis de remettre mes freins en état
