Buy it...... with caveats,
Very good.I actually bought this primarily as a deeper solo game than Pandemic. Its certainly that. There is a lot going on, resources to balance, threats to manage and an over all scenario to complete. And it is challenging. There are plenty of rules and lots of iconography to get your head around, but this is not actually that bad. A full play through and you will pretty much have it sorted. There are some cracking playthroughs on Youtube which is a good go to resource for learning these.Definately recommended from me. Excellent solo player mechanic or you can play solo with multiple characters (ie as though there wrre 2 players). Its all good.Caveats..... its tough to beat. Thats fine by me but the difficulty may be set too high for some. I am ok with losing and having to try new strategies multiple times. Be prepared to lose. Quite a lot.Be organised with set up and take down. There are a lot of bits. I have eleastic bands to keep like cards together and use the provided bags to keep some tokens separate. If you jumble it together it may take a while to set up. Its about 10 mins for me from opening the box to sitting down with a brew. Its a co-op game. and as stated a challenging one. This could led to the situation were newer players are led by experienced ones. Fine for the experienced but perhaps a little less so for the newbies, if you are the game owner be patient with newbies and perhaps be prepared to allow a mistaken choice slip through whilst newbies learn. If you cant do that stick to solo because it may just be ome a frustration for all concerned. However, this is not uncommon in co-op games generally. Its not a specific issue to this.If its on your radar buy it. Great components. Good rule book in this Z Man version. Terrific game.

Yes yes yes! Just buy it, learn it and enjoy.
Great, great game. There are lots of explanations of how to play, so I won't get into that. The board is lush, well designed and beautifully made, as are all of the components. My wife and I played the first scenario over a number of evenings (after the toddler was asleep). It took a good few hours of playing to completely understand some of the more intricate rules.I had a game night the other night, sent some how to videos to them before the arrived and set this game up. What a blast! There were some lovely and in depth conversations, of why we should build a shelter over building a bow. Why not to waste wood, etc etc. As a co-operative game it's a great way to get drawn in to a fully immersive scenario with your mates. I must say that they picked it up really quickly, mostly because we'd got over the initial hours of having to pick up the rule book every 30 seconds to check stuff. For what it's worth, I bought a small divider/pill dispenser thing, which fits perfectly into the box. In this I can keep all of the components sorted and in easy reach for gaming, packing down and setting up. I'd recommend this or something similar.I thoroughly enjoy playing this game, and even the missus is converted. Friends have been texting asking for another game so I'd say it's a winner.CONS: Difficult to understand at first. Games can take hours. It's hard, very hard.Pros: So much fun. Games can take hours. Great for generating a sense of 'teamwork'. Solo, 2 player and 4 player are all as good as each other. It's hard, which is a challenge right!?I'd buy it again, in a heartbeat. It's definitely up there with Dead of Winter..... and Mysteries of Old Peking!!!

Great game, loads of content and lots of replay value.
I kept hearing how this is a must have game but finally was able to buy it.The box content didn't disappoint me and I felt that the explanation of the contents being great was justified, although I am missing a wound cube token... No biggie just a little heads up these errors could happen to you too!My favourite part of the game system is the consequences or rather actions = reactions as the game progresses which is one of the games main selling points. You don't need me to bore you with the rules, etc. From now on I'll talk about the contents because as I said, it didn't disappoint! The box has an insert so there's more room to fill, but not loads, just more.Inside you find an excellent game board, great tiles, a mix of wooden and printed tokens, loads of game cards which are a mixture of mini European (minority) and standard European (majority) sizes. There's the dreaded (though some like it) stickers, these are for your larger tokens though you don't need to use them if you don't want to.A generously sized rulebook, you'll be pouring over that, looks great but is complex to fully grasp in the 1st go.Character cards and lastly (I think) the scenario cards, the scenario cards are great and are a major highlight for the game, gives you loads of replay value.Sounds impressive, I would hope, if you are concerned just check it out online before you invest. An important thing you need to be aware of is this game sells out fast, so get your copy when it's in stock. Otherwise you'll be selling organs to pay for it, yes some sellers really try to get more than the actual price, by a massive margin!

It's....brutal
This is the single most brutally challenging game I have ever played. It smacks you around, ruins every plan and knows every move you're about to make. It's very, very difficult.Yet, it's fun. Compelling. You'll finish a game, contemplate the fact you'll never win, then you'll try again. And again!I don't know why I like it but I do. It's fantastic. Quality of the board, pieces and cards are excellent.Solo play is superb and you can only blame yourself when it all goes wrong. Play with friends and then blame them! It's not for the feint hearted, more for the adventurous. Give it a go!
