Actually, I am very surprised because even though it is made of cardboard, the card box is very strong.If you did not know, you would think it is plywood.The details are nice and the ballerina is not as ''masculine' as one of the reviews stated. Maybe the eyebrows could be painted brown instead of black, true but it is not that bad. I think the whole lot is quite pretty.I hope it will be well received. I bought it for a friend's daughter as a birthday gift, who was looking for a keepsake box. I know it is a jewellery box but in my opinion, it can surely be used as a little treasure chest and the melody is quite sweet.I have no problem in recommend it .I bought it within my budget, it was £10.34 through Prime with free delivery, so I guess it is ok value for money. Anymore than this, I don't think it would be a good purchase as, after all, the box is not wood.

This little jewellery box was bought for Christmas for my little granddaughter and she chose it herself so had to buy this one. I read all the reviews from the different sellers and became unsure about purchasing. However, decided to go with this seller and would recommend as jewellery box came well packaged with no marks etc on the box. it is such a sweet little jewellery box. I have bought a little ballerina necklace to put in it. You will get quite a few pieces of jewellery in it as it is deep enough - depends if it is all chunky or not. All in all I think it is big enough for a first jewellery box for my four year old granddaughter.

A bit flimsy but good for the price.

This is so beautiful...Functionally and mechanically, It is exactly like the one my sister had (and I used), that sat on the dressing table, in our shared bedroom, when we were young. Fulfilled my nostalgia, also had a chased song that the ballerina dances to, and it is great value for money. I aspire to purchase a more expensive archaic music box soon...P.S. Couldn't give it 5 stars for travelling, as I haven't travelled with it, and don't plan to...

Really special and so beautiful for the price. I wasn't expecting much considering how cheap it was but even the packaging, I love. It's a gorgeous, stylish pink box and it really adds to the product, making it feel very special.Sometimes, we forget that simple gifts like this can mean the most. I bought this for my nice in order to put a locket inside, that I bought her for her holy communion. I opened the box and the ballerina started twirling, the music began to play and I was instantly taken back to my childhood. I felt like a little girl again. So magical. Every little girl deserves one of these in their bedroom, buy this NOW!

Bought for my wife as a ballet fan and wanted the Sugar plum fairy tune - says it has but it isn't - apparently the company changed this to "Dance of the Flowers" but google recognises it as something totally different. Returned and managed to track a different box down that plays the Sugar Plum Fairy.

I bought this jewellery box to hold some gifts my daughter received for her christening. After looking in shops and online this seemed to be the best value for money and I’m pleased to confirm it is. It is well finished and sturdy enough to withstand my three year old sons curiosity. Perfect gift or addition to any little persons room!

This is a lovely little box, but I do emphasize, it's smaller than expected. Well made, and lovely musical ballerina, but I feel I'm going to have to add some 'extras' to the gift to make it look more. Comes boxed and well packed.
