Great piece of kit but beware the short pattress screws
We moved into our new home just before Christmas. The previous owners had installed electric underfloor heating in the master en-suite which is lovely - especially during winter. However, what's not so lovely is having it on all the time wasting energy. From what I could ascertain from them it was only in the region of 175-250W due to the fairly small space but even then most timers that fit into the space taken by a single fused spur couldn't handle even that inductive wattage.Seeing that this can cope with a 3kW immersion heater as well as 750W or incandescent or even 500W of fluorescent (the first and last of those being inductive loads) gave me the confidence that this was suitable. It fit in in no time at all - electricity off, old fused spur out and this on in. The earth clamp is oddly marked - it doesn't say earth of have either of the usual symbols for earth but it's clearly marked in the document that comes with it that it's a loop earth. Plus it's the only spare connector after the two in (LIn, NIn), and two out (LOut and Nout) terminals.Programming was easy enough following the instructions - I'd say hang onto them or photograph them for the future if you need/want to change the programming. We just needed a single on and off function for the morning.I'd have given this 5 stars and the only reason it gets 4 is that the screws are just too short. This was fitted into a slim metal back-box/pattress but didn't reach. Thankfully, this seems to be a bit common so I have long spares just in case.

Not sure this is exactly as described
I bought this because it seemed to be the one time switch that cut both the live and neutral connections, thereby preventing the pond pump I use it for from tripping the circuit breaker. However, the enclosed circuit diagram seems to say that it is only the override switch that does the simultaneous disconnection, and it has been no help to me. Nice and easy to use, though.

50mm screwy!
Item came quickly, has multiple on / offs per day and generally works well. As others have said - supplied screws are too short (50mm). Unit is deeper than standard fused spur plates it will replace. Measure existing screws and add 10mm. If this is 50mm supplied screws will be ok if not order 10mm longer at same time as purchase. Overall very happy.

Excellent product and easy to instal
I bought this to control a heated towel rail. The unit is neat and easy both to fit and to programme. The screws supplied were just too short so had to order longer ones and although I bought a spacer plate I managed without it in the end to avoid the projecting unit being fouled by a wardrobe door. A good purchase.

Simple
Replacing an old time switch. This model requires a back box. Easy to install / connect. Programming is straight forward. Being a seven day version, it gives max flexibility.

Tricky installation due to single earth terminal, but fairly easy to use
I bought this to replace an existing similar unit used to control a hot water immersion heater. This one appealled as it has automatic GMT/BST switching which saves having to remember to adjust the clock twice a year. Overall it's a good unit and was easier to programme than the Greenbrook unit it replaced, however the single small Earth continuity terminal made installation much more hassle than it needed to be as it requires both earths (supply and load) to be squeezed into one terminal. The previous one had two terminals, one for each earth which was far easier to work with.Edit 17/06/2023: I'm updating this review to highlight another frustrating issue; once a programme time has been set, it cannot be removed without resetting the entire unit. In my case, now the weather is much warmer I wanted to remove one of the on-off programmes for my hot water and just leave the overnight programme, however this unit won't let you do that and the manual states a reset is required. For that reason, it loses another star and I find it more difficult to recommend this unit now.
