Well made, real plywood instead of cheap particle board, at a very reasonable price. Easy to assemble. Just make sure you align screw holes for rack plates in front. Unit even came with extra parts in case you lose a small part. Reasonably study. You can glue boards with E6000 for greater stability. Very happy with purchase. I plan on buying more units as needed.

This unit was just what I was looking for. Seemed a little pricey for a 2 unit rack but it adds value to my living room while housing my subwoofer crossover and power rack.

This rack is well-designed, easy-to-assemble, and results in a nice, sturdy desktop rack unit. The finish is durable and the rubber feet help keep it from sliding around on your desktop when you're pushing buttons on your equipment. The price is competitive compared to other available alternatives. So, why not 5 stars? Although there is around a 1/2" gap below the bottom rack location and the base, and the same gap between the top and the upper rack location, that's not enough ventilation. Nothing prematurely ages your rack gear faster than heat, so ventilation is important. If Gator offered this same rack with some better ventilation (e.g., holes in the top and sides), I would give it 5 stars. The other nitpick is that, when assembled, the space between the rack's mounting rails should be at least 17.75 inches. I bought two of these desktop racks, and the space between the rails in both of them is about 1/32" or so narrower than 17.75". All of my higher-quality rack gear fits just fine, but some of the cheaper rack gear ( things like a slide-out rack, etc.) need the full 17.75" width (or maybe even slightly more). Some of those wider components would not fit - I had to send them back. So much for standards ...

Works great for holding an audio interface or two on your desk. Frees up space and lets you stack more stuff on top of it. Good quality for the price when you also factor in it had to be shipped. Feels sturdy when fully assembled. Assembly was easy.

This is a well-built rack, it is listed as 4U however the opening space is actually 4.5U. Unfortunately the equipment mounting panels don't go completely up and down to fill the opening, if the did you could actually screw in 4.5U of equipment! As you can see in my photo I have 4.5U of equipment installed into the rack however the top and bottom units can't be screwed in because the screw panels are only 4U.

Awesome small scale rack - mounted my rack mount tuner and power conditioner with ease, and it looks great!

It looks great, and it's pretty solid wood, but I noticed when I rested a preamp inside, that the rack holes aren't aligned from the bottom of the cabinet. It's off on each side by less than 1/4 of an inch. It's less noticeable when you rack all of your equipment. I expected this to be more precise since it looks machine-done. The logo on the bottom of the rack isn't placed straight either, which speaks to their attention to detail. It will work, but I expected better quality control.

The Amazon listing doesn't state this but the Gator website does, it is constructed from cheap plywood with only a thin wood finish of whichever colour you choose. Really obscene to charge $300 incl. shipping for a little plywood hutch essentially, other people seem to have greater issues than me with the pre-drilled holes for the rack frames and wood dowels not lining up but mine aren't great either, it's not as noticeable with the 2U units than how far the 4-8-10-12U units go out by. I have a nice big slosh of wood filler on the front ledge of mine to mask up an impurity on the thin maple finish which just subtracts from the whole purpose of getting a furniture look rack entirely. It also only comes with 6 rack screws and washers, 2 short of being able to rack 2 1U units which is completely bizarre, as if the intent was to make people buy a whole additional pack of rack screws just to use this how it would be in most setups. Other than this it looks OK and does its job, but the quality is really not worth the price.

Having seen negative comments on another similar product from the same brand, I was a little scared. But in the end this rack is really good !

The unit is nice in color and quality, however it had a scratch on the inside and the predrilled screws that hold the rack unit in place are too small for the screws that come with it. It took me 30 Mins just to screw in 4 screw on fear I'd stripped the screw head. I reached out to the actual manufacture and they didn't seem to care or want to help me.. Would have given this unit a 5 star rating..
