How to Use Your Reading in Your Essays (Macmillan Study Skills)

I have been really amazed by this book. I have never ever had so much detailed advice on how to tackle essays. I find the steps and the diagrams a really terrific way to break down the question. I would highly recommend this book to anyone before you go to college/university. Get to know it well before you start and you'll be flying through those not so difficult essay questions anymore, in no time.

I am dyslexic and dyspraxic and I struggle to paraphrase and use journals and books in my essays. This book is really simple but gives really good explanations of how to do this. It gives a few examples of good essays and how they should be structured with your own words, references and critique. Its brilliant. Worth every penny.

A good book. My only complaint is the fact that it is printed in black and shades of grey. The author obviously intended it to be printed in colour as she directs the reader to colour-coded sections. My edition has no colour and no, I’m not colour blind.

A great read, just to say I always keep the suggestion pages open next to me when drafting an essay. I wish I'd found out about this earlier in my studying time.

This is a very very useful book, for anyone who has any problems when writing an essay, report . Very useful, easy to follow with loads of different examples. Am pleased.

This book is a concise guide for good writing. Explanations are clear and comprehensible. Must be kept in hand. I strongly recommend.
