Great price and works flawlessly
I’ve had these for a few years now so it’s a long term review, what can I say apart from that they really work, I have a very large garden parasol and these keep it well and truly planted to the ground even in a stiff breeze, excellent value for money and something that works, awesome ☺️

Very difficult to fill with sand , takes a lot of patience,
Looks good quality and very sturdy, however the metal connecting clips are too short and I could not use them, the bases when filled however, are unlikely to move as they are very heavy. Overall a good quality item .

Very stable base for cantilever parasol
These give a very stable base for a cantilever parasol. Empty they are pretty light and easy to move around. Once filled with water, each part is pretty heavy. I filled each one in situ using a hose/watering can. They can be held upright to allow this before closing up and placing down on to parasol base. With all four in place, it would take a pretty strong wind/hurricane to move them. The four cover about a square metre, which is quite big, but required to ensure the stability of the parasol. Once in place you can sit a flower pot etc on top to stop base looking so obvious. They do the job well and I’m very happy with them and the speedy delivery.

Large and sturdy
This product has a very large footprint, but I guess that is needed for the job. We have a 3m cantilever parasol, so it needs something pretty healthy, particularly if there a bit of a breeze. This does the job to a tee. I filled mine with water so it can be emptied and stored over the winter. You can't leave water in them over winter anyway as they could split if the ware inside freezes. There's an inset handle that makes transportation easier, although each one is about 20kg when filled with water.

Does the job
Bought as part of a package with a parasol. Essential for stability, they do a good job.

Longer pins needed
Theoretically an excellent stand which would fit many parasol bases, but not the banana parasol base bought in conjunction with this item Garden Parasol 3m Aluminium Sun Shade Patio Umbrella with Crank - 2.4m high - Anthracite Grey Sun Parasol. In order for the 4 sections to lie flat on the ground covering the protruding edges of the base, the connecting pins need to be 10cm long, but they are actually 9cm. As a consequence the inner corners with the filling nozzles have to sit above the central part of the parasol base to be able to be connected with the connecting pins. This means the weight sections are not securely over the stand, and are sitting at a slightly raised angle which also means the pins have a tendency to fall out.

Parasol Base does the job!
Item delivered promptly and base is as described! Clear instructions! Quite fiddly to fill with sand but has stopped the banana parasol from blowing over. Didn’t fill with water as other reviews said the plastic could crack or leak! Plastic does appear quite thin but filled with sand this shouldn’t be a problem!! Expensive item - the same as the parasol itself when including purchasing the sand!! Hoping it lasts a long time!!

Use the right sand!!
These bases are perfect for weighing down my new 3m cantilever parasol. However, a tip for buyers. When I bought this I got sharp sand from my local garden centre to fill it with. Unfortunately, sharp sand is wet and coarse and won't pour into the base. You need kiln dried sand from a DIY shop. This is very fine sand and is very dry making easy to pour into the base units. As a tip, I recommend sawing the bottom off a large lemonade (or similar) bottle and using the top half as a funnel. The neck of the bottle fits snugly into the opening of the base weights and makes it easy to pour your sand in.
