Maglite Torch Solitaire Black

These are great, handy size, bright and a well made long lasting product. I have several and all lasted years and still going. Don’t expect a super bright powerful long reaching beam but great as a handy light or to suspend from a tent roof when camping.

Over the years I have had several of these. I only bought this one to replace an old example which was killed by a leaking battery which had been forgotten about in the bottom of a rucksack. The solitaire torch is tough, durable, good brightness and battery life for a AAA device and great to keep on your key-ring.

These used to ebe the go-to flashlights when you wanted a bright, reliable form of illumination and I used to use the slightly bigger brother to this when I was rigging theatres. Nowadays there are other, similar sized flashlights that are brighter for around the same price but I still love a Maglite as I know they are tough and dependable and also come with a spree bulb(I have yet to have the need to replace one) This little beauty will come in very useful for all kinds of projects where a small, focussed, Lightsource is required and it will save the battery in my phone too as well as being easirer to manipulate into small spaces.

This is possibly the most pointless 'torch' ever, yes it's small, but I expected it to be better.The twist on function is a bit fiddly especially given the size, literally 2 1/2 inches.The main problem though is the light it gives off, which is completely useless! Doesn't illuminate anything and only forms a small dull spot of light immediately in front of you. I'd be better trying to walk with a tea light; I'd probably see better!Why would Maglite make such a rubbish product!?

Perfect little torch. Fits in my pocket when I'm walking the dog at night, and certainly comes in handy. ( Dog walkers will know what I mean ) Would highly recommend

You have to be careful when ordering - this is the Bulb version which is quite dim in comparison to the LED version still nice and well made - I accidentally ordered one of each - the LED version is brilliant - literally

Questa piccola torcia nel suo piccolo è un vero gioiellino. ne avevo comprata una 30 anni fa in America e l'ho usata tantissimo, finchè lo scorso anno si è colata una batteria rendendone impossibile l'apertura. Questa che ho ordinato è assolutamente originale ed identica alla mia precedente, per cui mi aspetto un funzionamento ed un'affidabilità analoghi. Usa ancora una microlampada alogena, tecnologia non più usata ma che preferisco ai LED, incorpora una lampadina di ricambio nella molla del tappo di chiusura, e la luce è ottima. non potentissima ma sufficiente, e svitando la parabola si può utilizzare come candela. Consigliatissima!!

If you need a very bright light that lasts extended periods, spend about twice as much and get an led.I have been using these exact lights for about 30 years. They used to give them away as rewards for Salem cigarettes in the 90s. I personally use these lights for night fishing. They are easy on & off and I can hold it in my mouth, yes that’s what I said. They give off enough light to get a fish off of hook or tie a knot. I am in my 50s so eyes not so great. Many places I fish are outlaw so I don’t want a huge bright light. They are enough to get me through the woods in a black night. Beam is adjustable and the top comes off for a lantern effect. This is no light for hiking, late night dog walks or spotting deer, but it’s size and light are perfect for me and others who may have like tasks. They are quality made in USA and usually last until I lose it. Kids love them too, mine have been taking them from me for years.
