These mugs are well made and large enough for just the right amount of coffee to “start the engine” (if you drink coffee you already understand). Just an added note, the rims are not exactly even all the way around, the rim is wavy. This gives the mugs a “hand made” appearance. The thickness of the clay is consistent with mass produced items of similar sort, not thick like earthenware. Light, dishwasher safe. I like these mugs.

These are nice solid, sturdy mugs for a good size cup of coffee. I can fit three fingers in the handle for a steady fully loaded cup. Love the color, they don't seem to stain and are dishwasher safe. These are not lightweight mugs, nor overly heavy, but maybe not for dainty hands! Love them!

Overall, these are great coffee mugs. They are very solid and sturdy and are the perfect size and shape for a 10 ounce cup of coffee (my preferred brew size) plus a dollop of half & half, with just enough extra room so that you can walk around without worrying about spilling. My only issue is with the handles - they are too big for 2 or 3 fingers (and I’m a big guy), but not big enough for 4 fingers. Frankly, they’re just a bit awkward to hold, which is the only reason I’m giving them 4 stars.
