I wanted a well known trusted brand at a reasonable price. My two teenage boys are in their element creating new toastie sandwiches. Easy and simple to use. Cooks a nice cheese toastie in 5 minutes. Easy to clean and small enough to put in a standard kitchen wall cabinet. The plates are big enough for 2 slices of bread or 3 small paninis.A real life saver for our family.

The reality is that the "3 slice" will do two standard bread loaf toasties, not three (which could be referring to paninis and not UK sliced loaves), but it makes toasties to perfection in super speedy time. Cheese and bean toastie in around five minutes with napalm heat fillings and beautifully golden and crispy bread. It does flatten the bread a little but actually that's not a criticism, we like that fact! I can make a batch of toasties for the whole family in fifteen minutes, even the greedy family member who likes two+ of them on his plate!Paninis are equally as good in this..We've had this for three months and it still looks like new with no wear on the non stick surface.It's reasonably easy to clean with a damp cloth.The locking feature is a great feature, we just tuck it next to the chopping boards on its side.Can't go far wrong with this for the price. We've had a few panini presses over time and this particular one is the best we've owned..

You can buy cheaper ones. I did & I sent it back. As I don't get my bread from Toy Town it didn't fit. I managed to toast a sandwich by placing the bread on sideways! This Breville one though is a different class.Firstly it looks serviceable. It's stainless steel not plastic. Secondly the extra 250 watts makes a biiiiggg difference. A lot of sandwich toasters are 750 watts these are 1000. Heats up quickly, toasts brilliantly. Has a floating lid to make thick sandwiches or toast baguettes.And it's a decent size. Two sandwiches using real bread. The dimensions quoted seem wrong. I could see they must be because the thing would have been tiny which it's not & a helpful reviewer showed it's dimensions with her tape measure in a photo. It's a cinch to clean too, follow the instructions which are good & clear. I think £27 is reasonable for this, very reasonable in fact.

All in all, I like this product. The top of the press can be adjusted for different sized items. It’s quite large so you can easily cook four sandwiches at the same time. It’s easy to clean and use. The press is on a slight lean, so you can use it a bit like a grilling machine and the fat will pool towards the bottom, which is good. I make sandwiches on it, but also use it for sausages, eggs, etc. The hot plates are both smooth and non-stick, which makes it a very flexible kitchen accessory and means you aren’t restrained to only making sandwiches on it like some presses.My only complaints are that the press tips when you push down on the bar, which is a huge design flaw. Additionally, it’s hinges are quite weak. If you accidentally drop it, there’s a high chance they will snap and the press will come apart, which is what happened with my first one. That being said, if this one broke, I’d buy the exact same one for the third time, as flaws aside, it’s great value and a great sandwich press.

I’m not much of a cook, in fact I’ll I do anything to avoid it. It’s the messI hate for what would undoubtedly be an inedible meal. Toasted sandwiches are easy but my antique toasted sandwich maker is covered in unidentified (probably cheese) debris. Not very hygienic. So, I was browsing Amazon for something completely different and spotted this. The fact that it was supposedly easy to clean with non-stick plates sealed the deal. Now I’m overwhelmed by possibilities. No more white bread cheese toasties with soggy ends for me! It’s paninis all the way! I’ve made every possible combination and they taste great. You can also cook other things on the hot plate like sausages, eggs, bacon, and I’ve even tried a steak. All good. Being ultra picky: the cord could be longer and the plates are so hot the outside of the bread cooks quicker than the filling. These can be managed. Most importantly they really are easy to clean. The leakage is minimal, so a quick wipe with a cloth is usually enough to leave it spick and span. With all the possibilities for edible foods this sandwich maker is great value for money. Just think about how much you would pay for a panini in a cafe or pub! Above all this is a great buy for the lazy non-cooks amongst us.

Really good, have made toasties and wrap pizzas on this so far. Making any of these literally takes a couple of minutes. Super quick. A great product.

I bought this to make Paninis. I know Breville is a good make. They also make Sage products. They are solid good quality and a good price. It made the best Panini. Brie cranberry and bacon. Much better than under the grill. It pressed it. It was crisp, melted the cheese and the filling was hot without burning the bread. It wiped clean very easily with a damp cloth as the plates are flat. I will be using it a lot for other things

I have used this many, many times before I am writing this review. I like that it is FLAT rather than ridged, I think it gives a better crust and texture than the ridged/griddled.It's easy to clean, as it doesn't have any nooks and crannies you can't get to (on the cooking surface), and does the job.The only thing I would suggest as an improvement are the lights. I don't know why these kind of things always have them confusing.It should be simple:Green = Ready to Use, Red = Getting readyBut they never do lights like that, it's always confusing, like ready when the light is off or something or other.But very good item and would recommend.

Très content de cet achat, premièrement le produit semble solide, métal partout et il dégage une impression de solidité. La montée en température est ultra rapide, la chauffe uniforme et les résultats sont parfaits. Le système de verrouillage est parfait pour le rangement, même ça semble solide. Il est vrai que la température n'est pas réglable mais au final la simplicité est une bonne chose à mon sens. Le fait que les plaques ne soient pas démontables n'est pas un défaut à mon sens car je ne compte pas du tout y faire griller de viande ou poisson. Je pense que si vous comptez faire ça ce sera un cauchemar à nettoyer mais ce n'est pas un modèle pensé pour ça. Résultats parfaits pour tout ce qui est pain, paninis etc... L'absence de rainures rend la cuisson uniforme et le nettoyage ultra facile. Pour ce genre d'utilisation je recommande à 300% largement supérieur à tous les modèles dans la même gamme de prix. Excellent produit *****

L'ho usata finora per piadine, pucce, toast, vengono molto bene e si pulisce velocemente. Spedizione veloce ed imballaggio adeguato. Qualora non volessi la piastra superiore a contatto del cibo utilizzo un tappo di sughero.
